After a couple of months of pretty much non-stop fruit and menthol juice (must put down the Virgin Vapors Snake Bite), I've been curious about trying some decidedly unsweet flavors. Does anyone have a recommendation on a juice with a more complex herbal or spicy palette? I'm talking anise, coriander, sassafrass, Ricola type flavors.

Oh, dear. I've been trying to avoid Ahlusion just because I'm so sick of reading about how mind-bendingly, cosmically, totally life-changing and awesome it is.

*sigh*

Any place else?

Coming off the analogs and vaping is life changing...the rest is just fine tuning the juices you like that keeps you in your life change.

Ahlusion is awesome by my humble and insignifigant standards, but hey, in a world where vendors abound on this forum and off this forum, there is definitely something out there for everyone. Ahlusion just happens to be it for me. :)

Velvet Vapors has an "herb garden" liquid that I'm really curious about, but haven't gotten around to trying. "Crushed, fresh basil and green herbs."

Velvet Vapors - Herb Garden Flavor

Would love to hear from someone who's tried that.

I don't mean to sound like the Ahlusion brigade charging in, because I do love them and they're my current favorite vendor. But your post has me curious. Have you tried them and didn't like them, or is it just the hype that turns you off?

I imagine I did sound pretty .....y there.

But yeah - it's the hype thing.

And it's not that I have any reason to believe this company's awful in some way. I haven't tried them, and I'm sure they're fine. It's just that, in the three months or so that I've been vaping, I've already noticed that certain vendors and juices will cycle in and out of absolutely wild popularity, and that, for the duration that one of these guys is at the top of the heap, it will dominate every possible discussion, and become the answer to every possible question.

It kind of makes it seem like there's no point in asking about anything, and makes a stubborn person like me want to avoid them. (I've got too many former superestars gathering dust to want to buy more.) But I really am sorry if that sounds terribly cranky. I didn't mean it to.

:)

Anyway, thanks for the tip on Velvet Vapors. That sounds very unusual and interesting, and I'll definitely take a look.

I can definitely understand your point of view there. Been there...been extremely frustrated with that, time and time again. Searching is tiring, time consuming, and can be costly, and almost maddening when you are disappointed repeatedly. For me, yeah..there's excitement, because my search is over. My self-celebration and sharing it with people out there still searching. Let's be honest, no one here has actual answers. We have ideas, opinions, and thoughts. Sometimes these thoughts lead each of us to something better. Sometimes it makes us just want to reach through the computer screen and slap the crap right out of people and then look at ourselves as we shake our heads for listening in the first place.

I wish for everyone that is vaping and searching for their flavors... whether it's popular, obscure, or they are just doing it themselves...I want each and everyone of them to be content and satisfied.

...and okaaaaaay...I am wondering if this is coffee or did someone slip something in there...

Well, I'm glad you understand, Cinnamonkey. For a minute there I was feeling like a twelve year-old who'd accidentally said something bad about Justin Beiber.

Have you by any chance read Chef Josh's reviews on the VaporRater website? I really like those! He gives his own personal opinion, but he also really knows how to describe flavors and sensations in such a way that a person can make up his or her own mind. I expect that comes from being trained in cooking and reading a lot of food writers. That's neat, and he's really fun to read.

Saying something bad about Justin Bieber is always encouraged...at least by me. I will never understand why my daughter thinks he's the best thing since the Beatles...or New Kids on the Block for that matter:facepalm:. I have to be honest, I haven't seen Chef Josh's reviews, though from what you are saying he seems interesting, and I will gladly check him out. I am always up for a good read.
