Got to say thanks to big blue for the ideas, pictures, and diagrams. I used the C battery box from mad vapes and 2 rcr123a LiFePO4 batterys. This lasts for 2 days with moderate vaping. Cheap and easy to adjust voltage, and storage. It isn't much larger than a pack of analogs. I threw this together fairly quickly, the next one is going to be bottom feed with circuitry on the side. Recess the fire button and adjustable without opening case.

Mad vapes as well. They work really nicely, I was unsure at first but I really like them.

On their own they run a Joye 510 at about 5V.

Good job, another live evercool, I have not tried it with the "little" batteries. They are protected batteries correct? What voltage are you running it at? With the new E2 808 cartos mine is set to 3.72 volts.

Straight up with no regulator (I guess "On their own" is not clear enough language for you) I luv them with Joye 510's. A nice voltage that doesn't pop standard Joyes if you are careful. They quickly settle into a nice 4+V vape.

But unless you misunderstood (which is quite common for you) this post is about powering a regulated mod. All regulated mods have to deal with drop out voltages (look it up). Some regs of about 0.5V others at close to 2V. Starting with a pair of 3.7V batts is the norm and provides the needed voltage headroom.

Now go back to misinforming the noobs.

A vaper without a multi-meter is the same as one who doesn't have a clue what its for.

I had originally planned to not regulate with lipo's but it was to hot and tasted terrible. I usually use them around 3.8 to 4.5 volts. They do not need protection because of they are not li-ion(from what I understand), and the regulator drops out well before the lowest recommended voltage.

I did use the larger thumbwheel pot, and it is very easy to open the box and give it a spin to get the voltage where is needs to be. I don't vary to far from a certain area and there is a side marker on the wheel. I have gotten away from checking the voltage often, as long as it tastes good I'm happy.

Hey clown, you could have explained yourself better to the original question and given buddy a recommendation or is that too complicated or difficult even for you to do.

ETA: ... and I do know what drop out voltage is on a reg, just thought you should know that.

That's good to know. Are you getting good vape times with the Li-POs? Also good to learn that those clips can handle larger diameter batteries.

Looks like about 5 minutes of work to convert that to a top feeder.

I put an 18650 in those clips on an altoids mod for a friend. The li-pos are lasting me two full days. The chemistry for them is supposed to have a more consistent voltage during use until the dropout of 2.2v. The regulator cuts them off at 2.4v or so. The last two pictures of my OP are from the next one I am making which will have bottom feeding. I still haven't decided to cut a hole to pump the juice or just take the cover off to load a fresh few drops.
