You might want to email the people that ordered the red one with that info!

This device is to be used in series only it's the way the chip is designed it takes an input of 7.4 to 8.4 volts and steps it down.

It depends on what they were trying to achieve... serial doubles the voltage output available but the amperage and battery capacity remains the same, parallel doubles the capacity and available amperage but the voltage remains the same. Each has their advantage so when designing it... you'd look at which option is better for the application.

The run time would still be increased in this 8 volt setup verses a 4v device. Daunting, stop reading here. That's enough to know without further details.


The circuit is bucking down from 8v without first boosting the voltage up. Most PWM vaping devices boost to 6v and then pulse down to average (rms or mean, doesn't matter here) the effective output to your chosen setting. Not having to boost first will require a lower current draw than the alternative.

Are Panasonic ncr18650b batteries safe to use in this? What a local vape shop recommended. I never use below 1.5 ohm atties.

If those are the ones I'm thinking of, yes. Yellowish green wrapper, about 3000mah, 10 amp limit if they're them.
