The nay sayers are back and rattling the cages again on how bad vaping is for you. And how it's harming our kids. It's not the e-juice harming our kids it's careless adults that leave nicotine with in the reach of children. They'll use any excuse to take away our freedoms.

A couple of more years of this lying down and taking it, and we'll all look back on 2014 as the good ol' days. As soon as regulations force all the little guys to close shop, only Big Tobacco will be able to afford all the equipment and safety stops. Then you won't hear a peep about e-cigs being dangerous. By then they'll be a great way to quit smoking. Of course by then N-joys will be $12 a hit. So everyone enjoy giving away our freedom. It worked for Putin. Russians gave it back as soon as they got it. We're not far behind.

All big tobacco will do is find a way to make the nicotine in the juice more addicting like they did with cigarettes.

Exactly!

Wait'll they do some testing and start finding that virtually all flavor vendors knowingly include flavors that are laced with diacetyl/similar diketones that are known inhalation risks...but don't disclose it to their buyers (News Alert: "the candy/bakery flavors that entice innocent children contain the same chemicals that caused popcorn lung").

Any industry that doesn't want to be taken over by the authorities MUST regulate themselves! But that ain't happenin' :(

It's not like it's some kind of surprise that 'Big government/tobacco/pharma' were going to try and take over here. Why don't vaping vendors include warnings on the bottles, use child proof caps, and provide full disclosure of the chemicals in their flavors that are obviously intended for inhalation? And why haven't vapers demanded it?

You know what I've never seen in the media? News stories about people who have finally quit smoking by vaping. Am I missing them, or do they just not exist?

I have seen reports of vaping being about 7% effective in getting people to quit, "about as effective as nic patches". I don't personally know thousands of vapers, but the success rate I've seen is FAR higher. I suspect those stats report only on people who quit smoking AND quit vaping. It misses the whole point!

There are few scientists and doctors who "get" it, but they don't get much press. No doubt there's Big Money out there helping downplay any positives.
