In contrast to my posting (on this same issue) of CDC's press release and MMWR on another thread (whose title states that CDC's Frieden made more false claims), this NBC News piece is pure rubbish (whose title shouldn't have restated Frieden's false claims as if they were true).

The fact of the matter is, is that the major news media pieces are now the same as gov't press releases, and have the same spin as the White House's Jay Carney.

LOOK! It's gonna happen! Nicotine in small quantities is toxic! Of course the ANTZ are going to crawl all over one poisoning like flies on dung. Nothing is stopping E-cigs now...so they will stoop to whatever tactic it takes to regulate this. I'm sure BT and BP are all over this too! When I got my ecigs, I implicitly told my kids...."This stuff is poison. You drink it, you will die....SO DON'T TOUCH IT!" If my kids were toddlers or if I had pets.....it would be locked away. But they aren't and I don't own pets. I still stick poison stickers on my bottles. vaping has been a Godsend to my health. I don't want anyone to eff it up and eff their own lives up by accidentally poisoning someone....So use common sense and lock that stuff up. Case closed.

My boys know better.....but a 3 year old, or your pet Chihuahua just might not.

It's obvious that as far as the media and ANTZ and "public health" are concerned, facts are irrelevant. To the vast majority of readers, the healine is the message. Nicotine = poison. And the damage is done.

We can only, we must, call them out at every opportunity and expose the lies. Not everyone reads comments, but we can hope that enough do to make even a small difference.
