mine should be here soon. Have a 2.5 and 1.8 ohm coil coming with it so I can see how it works on my vapor king 3.7v battery. the protank coil I have reads 1.9ohm an my friends tesla and doesnt work good unless its at 4.3+ volts so hoping the 1.8ohm will work better for it

The higher ohm coil will require a higher voltage for as warm a vape

Got two black evods (not Klanger, Chinese clones) coming tomorrow, at around $5usd a pop I couldn't resist.

I'm an ego user and used to be a big ego-t fan, those things lasted forever - the attys. I also liked the XL cartos.

Now I'm using ego-c set up I find it utterly weak and pathetic performance wise.

So I've ordered 2 cloned evods and found some ego-t attys cheaper than replacement C-attys, so if my two new C attys are as pathetic as the ones I got with my OVALE kit, I'll use the evods if they're good or if they're too much hassle I'll go back to ego-t.

To be fair one of my now 4 week old EGO-C attys has only been used with a PG, clear, menthol and is still going like a damned champion, great vape and flavor.

But the other one (I got 3 but lost one when out drinking) I used for my VG?PG dark colored Virginia Tobacco juice and find that it just cannot handle it and got wispy and burned out after just over a day.

I stripped it, boiled it, removed the wick part and dry burned it and now to be fair to it I'm using it as a dripping atty at home using a 1.1ml ego-t tank with the 2 little mouthpieces removed and it is giving me 3 -4 awesome flavorful draws off of one drop of juice straight on to the coil!

So yeah will use the C's for dripping and clear PG juices only and try out the EVOD for VG/PG juices as I do like the fuller and sweeter vape from the Added VG.

For those of you disappointed with the Protank, have you tried the Protank with the Evod coil? I use mine that way for thinner juices and find it has a much nicer, richer vape. I find it to be less airy. It might work for you guys, too.

Hotwire, be careful with the Evod knockoffs. I forget who was telling me they were having a pretty high failure rate with the ones they had gotten from FT. They could work fine, but I have bought only genuine Evods and I have had zero problems with the 8-10 I have had. No coil BS either. The coils are always showing the ohmage listed on the package within a tenth of an ohm. So if you have trouble with the knock-offs, don't give up on the Evod.

Let everyone know how they do for you. Good luck!

You guys can have all the Evod's you want, I have two of them. For me, the Kanger MT3 clearomizer gives me a larger vape.

I have a couple of the MT3's, too. One of them was a chronic leaker until I beefed up the wick on the coil. The other has performed superbly. I also like the larger capacity, but when the thing gets low, the performance drops off a bit. One great thing about these bottom coil tanks is that the probability of that awful, throat-burning dry hit is virtually zero. If there's liquid in the tank, it'll vape.

Sounds good. How do the evods handle dark colored juices with 50% VG content or more?

I've had them get gunked up pretty quick with thick, dark juices - need to clean the heads every tank or two versus every 4-5 tanks or only when changing flavors for lighter stuff. Most of the juices I've been using are from MBV mixed at 50/50...

With regard to the OP, I love me some Evods - have had 3 (1 legit, 2 knockoffs) - killed one of my knockoffs not knowing that I couldn't put cola in a plastic tank, but the others are doing fine - have only replaced one coil in about a month...

I just don't like the shape of the tip and the metal. the draw is fine.... I find better flavor and vapor from evods thus far anyway.

Well my evods aren't from fasttech as they don't sell to China where I live which is ironic.... Mine are from here - (you'll only get an English translation if you use chrome)

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r.1.14.8.ev0MVX&id=18488341313

They seem to come with only one heads instead of one sr and one lr, but I'll see how they go, at 37rmb (about five dollars) if they last a month each I'll be happy and I am a light vaper about .5ml to 1ml a day and will be using them to use up all my 100PG dekang clear juices first, so will be going easy on them in that respect.

Replacement heads from the same site are 6rmb or about a dollar, so....

These don't work, I have 2 new ego-c attys on the way which should get me through until September wehn I'll be back in the UK and can order the duil coil XL cartos for the ego or carto tanks.

I just want something non fiddly and consistent, if fact might go back to buying ego-t attys as I had two and they lasted me over 6 months and you can still find them on some sites dirt cheap.

But I do like the XL cartos and they seem less fiddly then carto tanks.

Ego-c attys are just plain weak when it comes to VG, the ego-t seemed to handle it better. Weird but true.
