Setback after setback, I know, everyone goes through it.

Anyway, I was happy with my Kanger eVods. But it seems after about 6 days, it won't stop gurgling/leaking. I cleaned it and thought that solved the issue, but it started again during my second vaping session. I just bought another online, along with 4 atomizer heads, right before this became an issue.

Whatever. So I did some reading here and found that this is common and maybe I should get Vivi Nova? What say you?

PS. At this point I have no interest in replacing wicks/coils, etc. It's just a little above my head right now.

turning your own coils isn't really that hard. I thought the same thing until I saw a girl in the Philipines and a little old lady (grandma) built a genesis from scratch. but rebuilding for me has stopped the leaking problem.

but I hate vivi nova tanks. I'm going to sell mine and all 10 head I bought in the classifieds soon. but that doesn't mean you won't like them. some love them, some hate them.

if you ask my opinion, I would get a protank, but that is the one that leaks the most for me, but I have noticed it only does it when I go from an air conidtioned space to the warm air of outside and I crank the AC in my car put it in front of the vents and it stops. might just be coincidence but it is what it is. my VIVA BCC by anyvape don't leak at all and they use the protank and evod heads.

Why do you hate vivi novas?

dry hits, the most and the constant tipping. I have re coiled tried different wicks. I just hate it. but like I said some people really like them. so I don't trash the people who like them. I just didn't have a good experience with them and I have tried over and over again. I still have the box, i'm just going to box it up and sell it.

Gurgling/flooding are common in BCCs, but TCCs (e.g. Vivi Nova) lacks the flavor/TH in comparison. If you're not into rebuilding, then I would recommend you give carto tank or dripping atty a try. Just my $0.02.

I was having all kinds of trouble with gurgling and leaking Evods. Came to this board and found a lot of tips: make sure it's not tightened down to hard, remove the flavor wick, etc. Ultimately the only thing that actually worked was to to rebuild my own heads. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be, the only real problem being my old lady eyes so I keep jewelers loupe handy. I use organic cotton yarn, 32 gauge kanthal and always test with an ohm meter.

I did have a few original heads that never leaked which leads me to believe the problem comes from the factory - quality control.

Since then, I've also been rebuilding Vivi Nova heads for other people with the same cotton yarn. Improves the flavor tremendously but you got to be careful not to burn the cotton.

You know when I get frustrated from leaky or dry hits or too much fiddle with this or that, I pull out a carto and vape it. I top off with 3 drops every 10 puffs. Pretty much easy peasy and it keeps me from pulling my hair out with clearo set ups! LOL bnrk

I am new at this. What kind of carto do you use. Is what you are doing called "dripping"? Is that the best way to test new flavors. Sorry, but I don't see much here about what dripping and testing new flavors. I must be looking in the wrong places. Thank you.

If you're interested in dripping, you should check out this forum.

flooding happens because your liquid is too thin or you're vaping at low voltage. First open the head and put some silica or cotton butcher's thread. This should stop the flooding. If you have dry hits, remove wicks or lower your voltage.

If you have different thicknesses of liquids, keep different heads for different purposes. For instance one for very thin liquids, another one for very thick ones.
I find bottom coils to be very simple and easy to troubleshoot. People tend to rewick/recoil their heads thinking solely that will solve the problem.

I have nothing against Vivi Novas, but I prefer bottom coils. Once you solve the quirks it's a great vape.
