I took a good look at shoulder washers. I focused on the nylon ones because I figured that would best serve our purpose. The biggest reason I am reluctant to try them is the fact that they have no "give", much like the delrin that is used for many end caps.

If we could find the proper size, do you think we'd have to put a groove in around the inside and outside of the "insert part"? Some of the sizes that I found seemed acceptable, but IMHO they would need O rings for a tight and secure fit.

If you do a search on "shoulder washers" you might find what you are looking for for the end caps. I've been looking at them, but am unsure of the size needed.

I have easily spent 12 hours searching for the end caps. I'm convinced that they have been re purposed and are available somewhere in bulk, but can not find them.
If you go to google images and use the following terms, you can get very close but not quite there. I had some of the best luck with:
adapter flange
seal flange
flange bushing
shoulder washer
stub end adapter

I have tried most all of those with the addition of "with o-rings" as well.

So, the search goes on... Thanks for the additional search words. I think that a lot of the major tank sellers mill their own end caps. I mean. look how expensive the end caps are from BigDaddyVapor. The chibi tank looks like it uses the 5/5" grommets, maybe...

I have seen lots of custom drip tips made from polymer clay, but, personally, I don't think it's safe to inhale warm vapor against it. Gotta admit, it'd be fun to make our own end caps, but I'd never use the medium of polymer clay as part of my vaping.

Well, at least we've got great inexpensive polypropylene tubing...

Funny, LOL... If I had a business, and I made a gazillion dollars, I could hire a company in China to make some for us...
But, then I could afford to spend a couple hundred dollars without bothering...
The vendors have to be getting these in bulk somewhere, how can we make someone talk?

To the best of my knowledge the Chibi uses the vinyl grommets that were discussed earlier, so does the m1a1 from notcigs and the submarine from momandpop. The idea originally came out in a thread somewhere else and I'm pretty sure Vermonster13 was the one that came up with the idea of using grommets as endcaps.
All of the above tanks use grommets combined with o-rings and so do many diy tanks. I personally use them with both polycarbonate and flexible vinyl tubing with no leaking or slipping at all. You might want to try them with o-rings and see if you're happier.
Good luck on your search and keep us posted.

Rigid White Polypropylene Tubing 5/8" ID, 3/4" OD, 1/16" Wall Thickness

Push-in Grommet 5/16" ID, 3/4" OD, 1/8" Thk for 1/2" Dia Panel Hole, packs of 100

Will this 2 fit and make good tank?

No, the grommets have an outside dimention (OD) of 3/4" yet the tubing they fit in have 5/8" hole.
You want vinyl grommets with 5/16" ID and 5/8" OD. You can get 4 free, shipped as samples. Request size GV-7/16.

The tubing sounds good. The grommets should be 5/8" OD to fit the ID of the tubing. I don't think the 3/4" OD will fit. (These grommets are pushed into the inside of the tube so you need the same diameter as the ID of the tube.) The right size for the grommets are: 5/16 ID (bore size) 5/8 OD (and it's for 7/16 diameter panel hole). You should also get o-rings 7/16 ID 5/8 OD (the o-rings go into the indentation on the grommets meant for the panel).

I have found that O-rings with an ID of 1/2" and OD of 5/8" work better. The number on them is -014.

Awesome
Do they have those that you guy suggest at mcmaster?

If so,would someone mind giving me the link..

And isn't 5/16" ID for grommet too small for cartos?,the cartos are around 9mm while 5/16 is only 7.9 to 8mm

And so this Push-in Grommet 5/16" ID, 5/8" OD, 1/16" Thk for 1/2" Dia Panel Hole
and this Rigid White Polypropylene Tubing 5/8" ID, 3/4" OD, 1/16" Wall Thickness will work?IF so what size O ring should i get?
