Anyone, (this may be tough) how about an alley, fog rolls in from the end, which end up spelling "VaporAlly, Stroll down the alley for great products" (or something like that).

Or, the morning sun comes up (from the end of an alley) which illuminates the words (which initially are not readable).
I don't know, might be a stretch to do those, but that's why I ask you experts.

That was kind of my idea. I may not be able to produce it though. The animation software that I loved doesn't work on anything above XP, and they stopped upgrading it, so I haven't animated anything for over a year.

Kind of a stiff learning curve with any pro-level image manipulation or vector design application, but these are two of the best. I use them professionally.

I made two versions. One using a tagline I came up with, and one using yours. I chose "Get your fix!" because of the whole alley/illegal drug addiction/nicotine addiction theme. I wasn't sure if this theme would be too "dark" for you, so I made another version with your tagline. Enjoy.

EDIT: If you choose my design I have all the PSDs saved so we can make small edits easily. Let me know if you want me to make it loop a certain number of times and then stop on the last frame.

Not liking the smoke/fog effects, but I DO like the sun effect.

Lol cool, smoke is a huge PITA the sun, not so much

here is one focusing more on a sunny (possibly hippie) vibe

Also note: if i win with one banner, i can tweak between the three to get you exactly whats needed when its time for site to go live.

this is the composite i made focusing on the sun effect over the smoke effect, which from my experience and attempts feels cheap.

Sorry all. I know I would get back on a winner on this but did not realize I dated this for Easter Sunday.

I'm diggin this one. Few things though

1) the small text is little hard to read. Maybe use "white" or a lighter color to make the text pop out more. Also make it a little bigger so you can fill up the negative space.

2. Vapor Alley is crooked...if you're going to go with the perspective of the wall...you should try to go with the lines.

3. the "vapor in the back and "vapor alley" could look better when they "flow" together, also see if you can lower the speed of the back "fog" and see how that works.

Other than that...I like the warmth and good luck!

EDIT: after looking...maybe tweak with this style and your font style in your beta 2 entry.
