Strangely, I was able to post when i first registered in the general section, now I cant. Must be something new... So, awhile back I asked about the great white sold on Jane's electroniccigarettesales com website. Well, Ive ordered and received it and I even posted a little review at the end of the thread I started on it. I wish I hadn't bought it. However, I ordered the penstyle and received it yesterday. It appears to be the 901 big brother as far as the style goes and the brand is the same as the great white also sold on her site (the brand is Kick) of which I can find no information on in google with exception to the e-liquid. I used the penstyle at work last night and thus far, Im elated with it. It smokes up a storm, extremely easy to refill, battery life survived thru the night and is still smoking up a storm this morning (Ive used it a full day) - I might add that her website claims 12 hours, it holds enough juice to last at least one day of smoking (I havent refilled since I first dropped the cartridge in) and it takes at least 6 drops of fluid, possibly 7 for each fill. I have probably one or two negatives which are small really but I might as well mention em. The size of it is huge. Its the length of a BiCs pen (like the pack of 9 for a buck at walmart - the cheapy ones) and about double the thickness. Now some might say, well, thats why they call it a 'pen' style...*sigh*...too bad that there isnt one the size of a 100 cig with even half the battery life and same performance. The second is the design - an all black model with a more solid 'rod' type look would be more to my liking. When you see it on the website, you can clearly see where the atomizer attaches to the battery because it is thicker than the battery. Additionally, the mouthpiece for the cartridge part of it is black which doesnt match the wood or metallic look (depending on which version you buy). As I said, solid black with the same thickness thru the whole cig would be pretty slick and it would match the mouthpiece. Of course, these are appearance issues and in the grand scheme of things, its how it functions, not how it looks that matters but I wouldnt be honest if I didnt mention everything I noticed about it. So now, on to another strange question. Anyone know of an e-cig that looks like the black 901 but has a solid 6 hours of battery life (long enough to last at least 2 days before charging) and has all the other qualities we look for in a good e-cig (vaping, solid hits, doesnt require a hoover to get smoke out of it, easy to refill, doesnt give you a mouthfull of fluid when priming, etc.)? It can be longer (but no longer than a traditional size pen - I dont want to have to benchpress my e-cig) and thicker than the 901 but I really like the look of the 901. I just dont like the 901's short battery life and constant refilling (all based on reviews I have read about it). And as soon as I can post in other threads, I have some news on the battery front - how about a battery that can be charged in 90 seconds for things that use lithium ion batteries (like e-cigs, cell phones, mp3 players, etc). They exist and there is actually a product already out on the market that is using this new technology. It also doesnt have the issues that LI batteries currently have (limited amount of charging, memory, power leakage, etc). They also are half the size for the same amount of current meaning your cellphone could have the same size battery but last twice as long or, be half the size and last as long as it does now. This would be perfect for e-cigs and it may be coming assuming the FDA doesnt decide to start treating e-cigs as a controlled substance.
