I'm still new to vaping, only been doing it for a month...but that's a month of absolutely NO analogs. The other day I started dripping, ended up posting some leftover stuff in the classifieds and ended up getting an atty+drip tip + etc for it all. I absolutely LOVE dripping. It's the perfect sitting-at-home method for me, a little more maintenance than my boge cartos were...but having to add 2-3 drops every handful of vapes is a small price to pay for the HUGE difference in vapor.

Here's what I'm using, I'm not exactly sure on the brand of the tip or the atty. Pretty sure the atty is LR and the tip is a 306 delrin, from what I understand this means it fits over the atty rather than in to the cart or the metal tube some atties come with.

I placed an order the other day for more juices, and also picked up a black anodized drip tip plus an LR bauway atty so I can have a spare atty as well as a different brand to see if I prefer one over the other. Figure this should be enough to keep me dripping until I decide on a final drip setup. With the gear pictured above, I do feel that the tip is a bit too close to the atty which is another reason why I got the new atty+tip...that vapor, and the plastic drip-tip, can get hot awfully fast. I also feel as if the atty might be killing off some of the flavor itself...example, I enjoyed FSUSA thin mint out of a Boge LR carto but out of the atty the taste seems a bit dull, with a weird stagnant aura to it. It was still enjoyable for the most part, but I'm thinking maybe the atty being LR is a problem or that my 50/50 juice is to blame?

Another issue I noticed was having to drip directly out of my 10ml and 30ml bottles, most of them tend to drip rather fast without any pressure applied and it's kinda hard aiming that drop down the drip tip hole...I've had a few little juice messes to clean up since trying this out. Not a big deal, but a more convenient and cleaner way to wet the atty would be nice. I do have a brand new fine tip plastic syringe I could use, it came with a printer cartridge refill kit and I never used it since the ink bottles had built-in blunt tip needles...so this might be a nifty tool to add to my vaping kit.

Anyways, I'm curious to see what some of you veteran drippers are using. I know there's all sorts of tips, atties, bottles, syringes, etc...just wanting to get an idea of what's out there so I could maybe refine this method for myself.

Dripping is how I started, and how I got off analogs. I used a simple ego with a drip tip and a regular 510 atty. The first thing I did was de-wick/de-bridge the atty (There are videos for this on you-tube). Then I was off to the races.
My anodized aluminum tip comes off pretty easy so I just remove it to drip. I didn't like getting juice on it trying to drip through it.
Very thick juice with lots of VG seems to cause tasteless vapes sometimes. I think the vg builds up an oily residue on the coil. I like the cleaner mostly PG juices (About 70/30 pg/vg). I like some vg for vapor.
I may try dripping with an atty that isn't de-bridged. Someone here said they had a coil explode and got bits of it in their mouth I would think a bridge would help keep bits of flying coil in the atty and away from me. Anyone else have this happen?

Dripping is a little more time consuming and not something you can do while driving. I use Clearomizers now, mostly, and I'm trying to buy my first mod, a Reo Grand. I guess this is the normal escalation of vaping. I just want big easy vapor without fiddling anymore.
But i enjoy dripping now and then, and the flavor is so much better than using a cart!

Never cared for dripping until I got a 306lr cisco with the cannon drip tip from cherryvapes.com. Keeps the heat way down. I use it on a 510 mega batt. not supposed to according to some. Works great with BWB applewood!

I also drip on a Big Brother cranked to 6+ volts with a joye 510 4.2Ω hv atty - regular delrin long driptip and it's my 'coffee pv' - 2 drops of DV's Doppio Espresso, 2 BWB espresso and 2 drops of BWB cappuccino.

I second the cisco lr306 with the cannon drip tip. One caution, though. Beware the clear, acrylic tips from cherryvapes.com. If you drop it (attached to the PV), it will likely break. The delrin are much more durable. I also ordered two of the Ming tips from them. The both broke off in the atty tube trying to pull them out (also an acrylic tip and a super-tight fit). I think they are going to have to find another material...

I am using a re branded cisco lr306 I believe. All altsmoke gear. omega, lr306 and tip. My juice I make myself. I get a ton of vapor and great flavor. I just received my provari in the mail. I gave that a run for a day. But enjoy the cleaner taste from direct dripping. A little hint with dripping. Just 3 drops as close as you can get to the center of the mouth. Then just give it a sharp blow. As if you were going to whistle. That will help get the juice down to the bottom. When the flavor changes it is probably time to add a few drops. If you take one or 2 more hits after the flavor changes it will be hotter. Kind of like sucking on a hair drier...lol. I am also mixing in a 70/30 pg/vg mix.

I drip in 510 and 306, i find myself using the 510 most. I prefer the pawns from CherryVape.com and I love the new Ming.

When i went to vapefest i grabbed a dripshield and its the BEST and most simplistic thing i have ever bought. WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THIS!? orz

Anyway yeah <3 to dripping and I have well over a dozen different tips that im always swapping out.

edit: forgot to mention i love vaping LR @ 3.7v more than 5v. I use my map tank on my 5v :D I never enjoy dripping on a standard atomizer it HAS to be LR for me to drip :D

Big +1 on the drip shield. It allows you to drip WAY more at a time and vape for longer without refilling. And there's no leaking. Its 100% win. I commonly drip in ten drops at a time. You can pick one up at empiremods.com

My other advice is if you're using 510 atomizers, de-bridge and de-wick it. It keeps you from getting that dratty burned metal taste when you run low on liquid, warms the vapor a little bit more and the flavors come through better.

Wow, thanks for all the tips and recommendations. Pretty soon I may have to place little orders at various places to try a bunch of this stuff out. ;)

Eta: I'm looking at those LR bridgeless atties...$15+shipping for 5 of them is not bad at all, and they apparently even come with a 6-month warranty! This sounds like an awesome investment if these atties are any good. Product link below.

I am posting before i go back and read all the posts.... just because i love dripping so much...heheh

I went through everything... after the first month, I got all the bottom feeders... I mean all of 'em. But the vape was not consistent enough for me... i am picky.
Even got a Vapemate... more troubles.
The problem is occasional flooding... and it's not Top Feeding, like dripping is.

So I went back to the tried and true, only really consistent surefire way to get the best vape. dripping.

My set up is Provari with either a 901 (favorite), 510, or 306.

If you drip, I believe you owe it to yourself to get a Pyrex Drip Tip from Theecig.com... they cost $15 a piece, but small price to pay for- 1. Juice goes down to atty fast 2. Does Not come back up, or get hung up on tip. Stays cool too....

Other than that, you just gotta know you got the best PV for you, and the right resistance Ohm for you.
Repeat Pyrex D/T... is the only way to go....

i use a bottle / needle setup.... Racers-edge.com sells them in 1/2oz bottles, for $1.80 a piece... stainless needle ...
if you like, you can point the needle right at the bridge, or just drip over the top of the D/T....
If you have a WetBox or a Phidias, they come with 3mil needle/bottle setup... but 3mil is too small for me.. i use that up fast.

Flawless dripping.
