It's so nice to be missed. Thanks everyone.

Now, TT can you loan me three dollars?

Whew, we were worried about you and really happy your okay. Just not used to not hearing from you for a couple days like that.

Now Maureen and vaporgalinfla are missing too and there's been no word from them.

Its just so hard to keep track of you kiddies any more!

Oh, and on the three dollars ... would a dollar a week for three weeks be okay?

Now vaporgalinfla and Maureen are missing!

What is going on here?

I smell a conspiracy!

Like in vaporgalinfla and Maureen are conspiring to gang up on me ...

I'm here! Yesterday, we had really bad storms during the day and I turned off my computer. When the storms finally stopped, I had to grade the rest of the night.

Maureen - Do you think he believed me? Tonight, let's continue plotting. Did you find any rope yet?

Hey VGF, could ya send one of those storms my way??? Pretty Please....

SC

This is the bad part - despite the black clouds and frequent lightning, we only got half an inch of rain. On top of that, Tropical Storm Emily was supposed to affect us on Friday and Saturday. I was so looking forward to some rain (don't worry grass, you'll eventually come back to life). Emily died today! Not that I want any tropical storms or hurricanes yet, but our yard looks really bad. I truly hate our watering restrictions of one day a week for ten minutes. How bad is it in your area?

East Texas. Near All Time Record Heat Expected Again! Today will be mostly sunny and very hot. Highs will reach between 105 and 110 degrees with heat index values approaching 115 at times. The strong ridge of high pressure will move west starting late Friday. This will allow for the extreme heat to relax just a bit however, high temperatures look to remain above 100 degrees for the foreseeable future.

Their not mentioning rain but I think there is a chance of rain a week from today (Friday). Ponds are dried up, lakes that provide water for towns are drying up and the water is growing algae making it undrinkable.

I don't even know now the last time we saw temperatures below 100 degrees and from what I've read tonight the drought in this area is expected to continue for another year.

The situation has been bad here and no signs of any improvement.
