Hello everyone, I'm not a complete newb to vaping, but I could definitely still use some advice.

This is my first day with the Spinner II after a full nights charge, and I was having an issue this morning with it that seems to have stopped now. But Basically what was happening is I would click the button on the Spinner II and instead of vaping, it would just blink 3 times, but it wasn't locking or anything. This was a random occurrence until about 30min after I took it off the charger, now it seems to be working fine. Just curios, has anyone else experienced this little quirk?

My other question is, I would like to get as much vapor as possible while still maintaining a bit of a throat hit, Im currently using an Aspire BDC CE5-S, and I usually run it at 4.8V and its not bad, but its not that much better than my single coil Kangertech T3s. So this Friday I'm think about picking up a Kangertech Aero Tank from KD Vapes (A local ecig shop in Ormond Beach), I have heard rave reviews online about this tank, and The owner of the store and his parter both use this tank and highly recommend it. My main concern is can my Spinner II give me the hit I'm looking for out of this tank, as most of the people ive seen using this tank have a big battery. However, I have seen that most people recommend running the Aero tank between 8-15Watts, and using a little math I can see that at 4.8V on my Spinner II, with the 2Ohm coil in the Aero tank I should be able to get 11.52W, so It should be a happy middle ground no?

Lastly, is there a thread on here or a website someone a link where I can learn all the different lingo? There are so many abbreviations, and different type of equipment and I don't even know what a fraction of it means. lol

The Vision Spinner 2 I have has a funny charging cycle. If I connect it to my eGo charger that is connected to a eGo style USB wall wart it starts to charge then at some point stops charging. The light on the charger goes to green but the Spinner 2 button stays blue. If I take it off the charger and then put it back on the charger light goes back to red, indicating it is charging, and the button then turns blue and then it will actually charge all the way. This didn't happen the first or the second time I charged it, IIRC, but start after about a week of use.

That same charger and wall wart work just fine for my other 2, non regulated/adjustable, eGo style batteries. So my thought is it's the Spinner 2.

Still works fine.
So now I put it on the charge then check it 15-30 minutes later. If the charge light has gone green I take it off and reconnect it.

If you want your vape to be more consistent, good TH, better flavor and less hassle, I would suggest trying a good carto-tank over a clearomizer. Although I prefer Phiniac tanks, here is a starter carto-tank that would allow you to see the difference at a small cost:

Most tank cartos need replacing every 8 - 14 days and cost about $1.80 each.

The 1st Spinners used to have a problem with the incorrect chargers. I "think" it was the Ego rapid chargers they didn't like. As far as I know, the V2 have the same problem and it seems you've confirmed it.
I'm sorry I'm using words like "I think", but it was a while ago, and since then I've gotten the correct charger, so my V1 and V2 spinners charge fine now. But they certainly used to work with only the 510 chargers and not with the Ego rapid chargers, though they look identical.
You may not be fully charging your V2.

Below are some blog posts by ECF member Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.

Here is a thread with lots of good links assembled by ECF member Keeferes. Some of the links in this thread are covered above, but there are many other links as well. One Stop Reference Shop For New and Experienced Vapers

Happy reading!

This happened with one of my two Spinner II's as well. It's strange that not all of them do this. But it does happen.

Come to think of it the first few times I charged it I turned it off first. But when I connected it to the charger the button light flashed several times and when I removed it after a full charge the spinner was in the ON mode. So from then on I just left it on when I connect it to the charger. I'll have to try turning it off first and see if that same partial charge happens or if it then charges all the way with the first connect to the charger.

Also I'm going to try turning the voltage up all the way, 4.8 volt, before connecting it. Could be whatever is used to regulate the voltage is stopping it from charging fully on the first connect to a charger.

I can see no reason why the Spinner II and the Aerotank-combo shouldn't work perfectly. I Use my aerotank mini and the spinner II all the time.

I do also have the charging issue with my spinners, but I just pull them out and put them in again: Problem solved.

I have never experienced the blinking on my Spinners though, maybe you should let them rest for 10 min, after charging. That is good for the battery.

Alright, the Aerotank is in and I LOVE IT! My only question now is should I run it at the 4.3V that was recommended at the store, or 4.8V which is what ive been hearing online? I have the standard Aero Tank, not the mini or mega. its the 2.5ml version.

Also what coil resistance and voltage would you recommend for the most vapor without burning the juice or coil?

So I don't know anything about the spinners.
But with the tank, systems and cartos the heads need to be either rebuilt, cleaned or replaced once a week or so, depending on how heavy you vale and what kind of juice you vape. Typical rule of thumb is re darker the juice the dirtier they make the coil. Coffees, teas, heavily sweetened and juices with seed(like vanilla) are the worst culprits. It got so bad for me; because I couldn't find a juice I liked that didn't do that for me, i switched to a rebuildable, every refill I take out the cotton wick, dry burn the coil and throw in a new piece of cotton. It was cheaper and easier.
For your wattage issue; I'm not sure what the limit is on a spinner. The way I work the variable voltage is- resistance + 2 to get my starting point.
I have a 1.4ohm coil in now; so ill do-1.4+2= 3.6 so I started their and went up or down 0.1 till I found my happy spot. This juice apparently tastes best to me at 3.9V.

I found after a while to worry less about the math and more about what vape I prefer.
Looks like you have a 2 ohm coil; if I read that right- I would start at 4 and work my way up or down from their; not everything is the same with so many variables- I like sweeter juices to run higher than savory. -just my preference.

Seems I also have a charging issue with the spinner 2 (used with aerotank). I can charge it for a while with the ego 420mAh before it turns
green, then reattach it again and it will charge for an hour or so. I can repeat this 2-3 times.

On the 1300 spinners I have, if I reattach after a fully charge the light goes from red to green straight away.

I can say at this point, just swap it out. Luckily I bought mine locally so I just told them what issues I was having and they took my old one and handed me a new one right then and there, and its been amazing ever since, no more issues at all. It just seems like there was a bad run and allot of duds got out in the wild. Ever since I swapped mine out for a new one I haven't had any more issues at all, my dad even bought one for himself and his seems to be good so far too.

The only other thing you can try is not tightening the charger down all the way, or your tank for that matter. Basically tighten just enough to make contact, but so that its not cranked down tight or anything. I had issues with mine because I, out of habit, would tighten everything down as tight as i could, and as soon as I stopped doing that I started having better luck.

It's such a shame that so many people, myself included, are having issues with the Spinner IIs because to be honest its been a fantastic battery. I use mine @ 4.3v with my 2ohm Aero Tank from 7:00AM until about 10:00PM. I'm a heavy vaper too, and I have yet to get this battery below 30%, I literally don't even know what shade of Orange it's supposed to turn below 30% because I've never seen it, lol.
