I've been vaping since April 2011. I found my set up quick because I'm not the sort that messes around forever with equipment.

I was using an Joye eGo-T 1000mah Pass-Through with plain old atomizers and plain old cartridges.

NOTE:

I have tried cartomizers - AND DID NOT LIKE THEM.

I HATE fiddling.

Here's what's going on right now. I had 2 Joye eGo-T 1000mah Pass-Through's since July 2012. Used one, the other was the backup. At this last Christmas the original split apart and before I could stop it the wires loosened. Oh well, that's what the back up is for right?

Started using that backup and tonight the atomizer started producing vapor without the button being pressed. Freaked me out, it's unplugged and sitting there. Even with the 5-click turn off the atomizer will still produce vapor if screwed in.

And I HATE fiddling. I have NO intentions of fixing it.

I'm looking for a replacement setup and I am confused at the current offerings.

I want a straight up passthrough battery, atomizer, cone, cartridge system. That's it - four parts.

What is it that fills this need nowadays? The eGo-C's need this extra part and that thing and this widget. Frankly I'm not interested.

Maybe fiddlers and people who like to play with these things like it - I do not.

I want it to function and that's ALL I want from it.

Is there anything that fits the bill?

Thanks in advance for those who answer without trying to convince me to go "their way".

The EGO-C tank system is what your EGO-T system became.

Probably the simplest you will manage is maybe an ITaste (I think it has passthrough) and a clearomizer. For Clearomizers I like protanks and EVODs but those are somewhat dated now. Alot of people are loving the iCLear16s.

Fill it and go system. When the head gunks up unscrew it and screw in a new one.

About as simple as it gets these days.

While I have little advice, because so far I have not really found 'unfiddly' vape gear... I love this post. You could not be more clear about your wants, needs, stance and what you do not want. Excellent.

The USB passthru devices are neat, as long as you are near a wall outlet or powered USB port.

As you stated you do not like cartomizer tanks, I will refrain. Normally this is where I would say to get a ProTank, however, the quality of their heads have dropped considerably as of late, so not only would changing heads require some fiddling, but the leaking, gurgling and fluctuations in vape quality would probably drive you crazy.

EVOD style tanks take Kanger heads, and are a little better, from what their fans say. I have never used one. However, the poor head quality issue persists.

I hope you find what you need. Vaping has been a life changer for me, and I get the feeling the same is for you.

There are a few passthrough batteries out there in the eGo size. You can also still get the eGo-T topper AFAIK. But why are you trying to replace that? I'm thinking yours will fit on any eGo type batt you buy. What do you want to achieve with a new system?

Apparently atomizers, etc., are being phased out for eGo-T's

Quote from VaporKings "The eGo-T style atomizers are being phased out. We recommend that customers upgrade to the eGo-C system which consists of an atomizer cone/base and replaceable atomizer heads. " Joye eGo-T Type A (eGo Tank) atomizer - Genuine Joye!

Not that I used that type, I was using Genuine Joye 510 electronic cigarette 10-pack of stainless steel atomizers and had the cone from a starter kit purchase when I first got going.

Most stores are confusing as they ONLY want to sell what they get the greatest markup for, that's why I come here - to get advice about what's real, not what's currently being hyped.

If the eGo-T's are being phased out, then I will eventually need to change my setup anyways. Better to get the research done now rather than make foolish impulse purchases later when I can't get what I'm used to.

You got a year and a half out of an eGo. You done good (even though one was a dud). I would recommend that you buy the Joye eGo passthroughs again. From all accounts, there have been some improvements to the chip design in those things over the past year. If the eGo T cartomizer system made you happy, switch to its replacement, the eGo C system.

The Innokin iTaste MVP 2 does have a passthrough, but it's more of a "you can vape while it charges," deal. ProVape sells a passthrough for their ProVari, but you could probably purchase a lifetime supply of Joye passthroughs for the same amount of money. I'm feeling pretty okay with my initial recommendation, Joye eGo passthrough and C system. Good luck to you.

I'd go with an Ego C Twist using your same atomizers.
Read the OP. His attys have been discontinued and he wants a passthrough. How does your recommendation help?

You can still get the eGo T atomizer set ups here http://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/cate...ible-parts/ego-t-atomizer-and-cartridges.html

Also, for the passthrough thing, I use both the eGo T and eGo C types every day. About the Joyetech eGo/eGo-T/eGo-C I kind of prefer the eGo C passthrough due to the upgrade but they work identical to the eGo T as far as battery function (with a couple of perks that have nothing to do with function) JOYE eGo-CC Starter Kits & Accessories | Joyetech eGo-CC E-Cigarettes
You can still get eGo T passthroughs however (I have them too) Scroll down the link pages to get a view of what's out there (both this one and the links above) JOYE eGo Tank E Cigarette

The eGo T and eGo C passthrough batteries are pretty much interchangeable what atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizer you put on them. They just have some subtle differences with features...but as mentioned, they function the same when it comes to vapor.

Of course..both will "charge while vaping" and have good life when unplugged and vaping away from a power source.

Thanks everyone, the information was what I was looking for since after I found my setup I hadn't been researching or shopping anymore.

I will most probably go for the eGo-Cs since the eGo-Ts seem to be being phased out.

While I don't need the most advanced setup I do want one that I can count on to get the accessories for.

You guys helped me get up-to-date and that's a huge help.

Have a great day y'all :)
