Awhile back, I was thinking about getting into e-cigs and posted:

"Can you guys make this as easy as possible for me? ;-) I smoke a pack to a pack and a half a day of Winston Lights. I would like to purchase an e-cigarette starter kit and am willing to make the investment in mods. I want to make this as easy as possible for myself... know if I spend too long I risk getting discouraged. I know I will have to experiment with juice, but can anyone tell me what I should just go ahead and invest in? I don't care if my cigarette resembles a cigarette in any way. I just want something that while I'm at home I can just smoke instead of having to leave my apartment all the time and to cut down on all the smoke that enters my lungs. I would like I think to be able to walk around my apartment while I'm smoking it but if I get the most cigarette-hit like experience from something that doesn't meant that prereq I am definitely willing to compromise on it. I have attention deficit order. I am hard on my things. I have a cat. Where to buy? Where to return to get my juice? Where to buy replacement parts if needed? Any starter kits that come complete with mods installed for maximum efficiency/punch? Lemme know! Thanks x 1,000,000!!!!!"

I got some great responses, the last of which was:

(I realize this isn't "one stop shopping", but IMO, what I've written below is far better than what you could get from trying to shop from only one vendor.)

From Provape.com:
Provari v2
Provari Extended End Cap for 18650 batteries
2x AW IMR 18650 batteries
Pila Charger
2x 5pack of Boge 3.0 Cartomizers

Then go to to NotCigs.com:
M1A1 Buzz Tank 1.0 (once you figure out what your daily vape will be, you'll fill this up with that juice and use "punched" cartomizers (aka cartos) with it) This is key to having an A+ vaping experience.

Then go to MsTsbakery.com:
Spend at least $50 on a bunch of 6ml size bottles of her juice.
Make sure you get at least 1 bottle of her SnickerDoodle cookie. It's her most popular flavor and also one of the most popular flavors on ECF... it's also what got me off a pack a day analog habit.

Lastly go to CloudsOfVapor.com:
Get their "COV Carto Punch v2". Yes, it's $40, but its the best way to reliably punch your Boge cartos for use in a tank.
by AZcraig. Does this still sound like the route I should go with? Is this the most inexpensive route to get this stuff?

What is a good mixture of expediency of getting the stuff, pricing, and convenience? Opinions? I'm ready to pull the trigger on this one, but I thought stupid not to ask again since a lot of time has passed. Am I willing to invest in something like a provari? Yes, if it means saving me money and something that really truly has the best possible chance of supplanting my analog cravings.

While the Provari is certainly one of the Rolls Royce’s of PVs I cannot help think it is overkill for you at this point.
A good solid PV even without variable voltage can deliver what you are looking for.

Buying the best PV is NOT really going to make you quit cigarettes easier no matter who tells you what!
The trick is finding YOUR right balance between- PV. Delivery system and e liquid.

If I were starting all over I would simply get an E-Go Twist. I have three and I could buy anything irrespective of the cost.
It's essentially the battery and they run about $28 for a 1100mAh battery that lasts about 6 hours.

It allows for a setting from 3.3 volts to 4.8 volts.

It's solid, very popular and being a '510 style' everything is available for it.

I would try Boge 2 Cartomizers. They're about $8 for a box of 5 and should last you at least 2 weeks.
They're disposable but can be cleaned and dried then reused.
They WILL eventually taste terrible.

As far as e liquid goes, well, there is too many options but try and decide on the device first. We can all assist with the juice later.
There are many vendors who will sell of this.

Do some snooping around here and elsewhere online about the E-Go Twist and let me know what you think?

Hey matematik, from a fellow newbie to PV/vaping experience in general...

I got some great advice from chefjosh on here last week and ordered the Rider Robust from e-smokeytreats.com, which, coincidentally, has just let me know they have shipped today. It's not a terribly expensive device, but it's VV and not too huge (just a little bit bigger than the eGo Twist I believe - there's a video on the site that shows it really well in comparison with some of the other devices). I also ordered a mini-eGo kit from Vaporgirl.com for a smaller form factor PV. There's a thread on here discussing it over the past several months and A LOT of folks are really diggin' it. Most places carry it; it's the 350 mah, but there's also a 400 mah unit that's barely bigger. These are not VV, but if you look at the eGo's, there's a lot of folks that really dig the eGo Twist, too, which I didn't get (yet).

Lots of folks seem to have specific preferences as far as their juice goes... me, I've ordered, and am still ordering, sample packs from several places that folks on here recommended. I reckon once you've found a few you love, you'll be able to figure out the best place to shop. So far, Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Alice in Vapeland, and Kick Bass Vapor seem to be a lot of folks' go-to's for juice.

...and so far, I've found that vaporalley.com, netmix.com, and madvapes.com have had the other things you'll want and need (as well as juice). Lots of other places out there... lots and lots and lots of places... and lots of folks, just like with juices, are gonna have ideas about the best place to go. So many others on here with WAY more experience than me being a newbie, but I did a lot of research and read a lot of posts here and just basically spent a lot of time checking out each places site and reviews of them here on ECF.

So... with all that being said... one-stop shopping might not be completely possible initially, but once you figure out what you're going to be using for the most part, you'll probably figure out pretty quickly which places you'll pick for your fave.

Best of luck!! ...and have fun!

matmatik:

One stop shop, is tough. If you're looking for inexpensive, you'll find you'll need to go through several vendors to get the best values on equipment. Provari, which I have is top of the line and a good piece of equipment. I vaped 4-years before I bought one. A good dependable, affordable way to break into e-cigs is the Ego models (Google it). Almost all of us own one because that's where a lot of us started. I still use mine from time to time even with lots of other mods to chose from. Ego can come as a complete kit with everything you'll need, all types and sizes. Some are even vari-volt.

Get some replacement parts and backup batteries for the Ego. If you want to find something between an Ego and Provari, I like PureSmoker.com, Vapormoon.com and also AltSmoke.com. These companies sell some nice mechanical mods that last for years. One of the first units I bought was a Silver Bullet and I still use it several times a week. For miscellaneous parts I like a lot of companies, but VaporKings.com comes to mind. I like their prices and most of the time, their equipment works well.

If you want to see reviews of a bunch of devices, check out GrimmGreen.com Green also has links to other good and honest reviewers. There is one place that I do business with that fits the mold for starters and that's Electronic Cigarette | E Cig Liquid | Totally Wicked E Cigs They have everything in one place and their higher end mods are acceptable; however, now that I'm experienced, I would not recommend starting out with their Joey models.

I agree, save the expensive mods for later. I know a lot of mature vaporers that are still using their E-Go.

I just started ordering online recently and my first buy was from two different places and would have been a third if I had the money for the mod I wanted to get at the time. My first purchase was a 25 pack of boge cartos from Surevapes for $23 (lowest I found), the second was a carto tank from IBtanked and my third would have been and soon will be a Silver bullet from Altsmoke. I wish I could have one stop shopped also but I'd rather save the money and shop 3 places if that's what it takes. Also I would suggest the Silver Bullet if you want something rugged that's a mod and a lot cheaper than a Provari, and if you decide later you want more power you can buy a kick for it. As far as the carto tank that's just what I have decided is my favorite, fairly hassle free juice delivery system that lasts a day or two or more without having to refill. I was a pack a day (roughly) smoker also and if I knew what I did when I started I would have gone with the Silver Bullet mod and carto tanks to start. Juice, like said before is completely up to you to figure out though. If you have a local vape shop I'd suggest just going in and trying all the flavors that sound good until you find a few you like and go from there. This is all just my opinion based on what I've learned in my 3 short months of vaping, hope it helps. Best of luck to ya!

I initially asked for a one stop shop; haha, realize it's the name of the thread but that's no longer the priority. Def will go with an ego, and will look at other options too. Smoked winston lights - nice and robust. Take short, speedy drags instead of long slow ones, but I want a big robust hit in the back of my throat/chest if that's possible? Wish I had money to just try a bunch of stuff out. Zaaaah.

I can personally recommend to vendors that are pretty close to one-stop shopping, as long as you don't need a $100 plus mod:

Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette | myvaporstore

DiscountVapers - Your source for savings on electronic cigarettes and accessories, Go-go eGo, vGo

I DIY my own eliquid, so I can't comment on their juices, but Discount Vapors has started carrying Halo which is very well liked.

Both have excellent CS, fast shipping, and a variety of cool stuff for the mid-range vaper (Twists, Vivi Novas, Rebuildable Attys, etc)

I have a Zmax and I personally think it would be very confusing for a new vaper to learn how to use.
I think that a Riva/Ego kit with 2.0 ohm cartomizers will be a great start. The lower the ohm of the carto, the more hit to the throat and chest lol I have not yet purchased from this vendor but they do have a 4.2V Ego Kit for $30 which is a great price and 4.2V with a 2.0 ohm cartomizer will be a great start IMO https://www.gloryvapes.com/kits/ego/ego-black?zenid=b6942c9f2ec1e6775f3aef2723a5fd54

I just purchased a Kgo kit for my son from here for a good price. The battery life is excellent and it is also 4.2V code 5off gets you 5% off your order KGO kit1100mAh by SLB

The XL LR Boges from here are what I use and at a great price
Boge Mix'n'Match (5 Box)

You will get so many different opinions here that it may overwhelm you a bit. Keep researching and you will find what is right for you. Good luck!

ETA- Don't get me wrong, I love my Zmax but there is a learning curve even for a veteran vaper to use it.

Should I get E2 Apollo Twist VV Kit 900mah ? Or should I get the unit and other components?
Zuuuuuhhhhh

Welll, that's not exactly the eGo Twist that most people are speaking of, but if you like it, go for it. I would rather see you get 2 regular eGo Twists, a charger, and some T2's T3's or CE3's, possibly a Mini Vivi Nova..this way you would be able to try some of the newer products people are using. Also the Spinner is a very good battery also, 1300mah lasts a long time.

Don't underestimate people's intelligence. Just because they are new to vaping, doesn't mean they can't read a manual. The instructions are simple!

As far as a tank system is concerned, I would look at the Smoktek.com Smok Tank XL, either 3.5 ml, or 6 ml. I just got the lockable tank and love it. I purchased the single XL coil 2.0 Ω carto's to go with it. It has a nice draw, and great flavor with good vapor at 3.2 volts on my eGo Twist. You could set the voltage a little higher if you want to. You will probable want the filler tool to go with it to make tank filling easier.

Yikes. Add up all the shipping alone on the multiple batteries and different stuff you could end up trying. Me, I love to shop and I love to try things for myself but if that is what you are trying to avoid I would get the Provari, charger, batteries, and play with the liquids and research delivery systems until you are blue in the face because they are the weak link IMO
If I didn't love to shop so much I would have done that. I tried to do the right cheaper thing but still ended up wanting better. So. Do love to shop and wait for new things to come in the mail? A little bit? Anyway. From all these posts it looks like it still, remains your decision so if you have the money then just do it. The most positive experience will be using the best and you can get that info by researching and then researching a little more. None of it is perfect. Have fun do it YOUR WAY
