Lotsa problems going on here. First, the high VG tends to mute the flavor regardless of delivery device. If you want more flavor and throat hit use more PG. Second, hard to flood the cartos with really thick juice. If you watch Phil Busardo, he vapes Boba's at 100% VG and punches THREE holes. To control the juice flow, you almost have to punch your own holes to customize your juice to the cartomizer. I use Boges and prefer them over Smok and find them identical to Ikenvapes (same packaging, same text, same resistances, same filler, same flavor, same vapor, etc. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they came off the same line). Get a good Siam Mods Carto Punch. Like Ikenvape recommends I use large holes, double punched and never get flooding or leaking. Busardo doesn't either with three large holes punched. Also, I have found that the standard size, NOT XL, provides better flavor. I'm not sure how a specific tank would affect the taste using the same carto, punches and juice. I back off my Phiniacs a tad from my Provari's to increase air flow. Flavor mutes the longer you use a cartomizer. I have many friends who swear they get that "new" taste for three or four days, and then changes/mutes for another week or two. I use my cartos for one to three days only. I like that new taste/flavor/air flow every vape and go through a box a week, YMMV. Your juice and the coil temperature also affect the amount of carbonization and caramelization that you get on the coil and filler, as well. This affects flavor, as well, and why I change mine out every other day, or so. Dark, sweet juices can gunk up the coils and filter faster than lighter juices. All of these factors contribute to the vape, not to mention coil temperature. Juice varies. Some tastes better warmer, some tastes better cooler. Every juice is different, and there is not rule of thumb. Hotter coil temp can mean better, but it can also mean worse. To get a good vape, here's what I have to do:

1. Boges, low resistance, standard in Phiniacs
2. 7.0 - 7.6 Watts
3. Dark, sweet cinnamon Danish juice at 60/40 PG/VG
4. Double punch large holes
5. Replace cartos every two or three days, some batches I replace after one day
6. Customize your carto to match your juice and temperature
7. Customize your coil temperature to match your juice

Unless I rotate fruit juices with the Cinammon Danish every other day or so, I lose the flavor via familiarity and vapor tongue. YMMV. My two cents. Good luck and happy vaping!

P.S. The condom method or plunger method of priming is vastly superior to top priming, imho. As such, I dip four times to achieve complete saturation. See the MyFreedomSmokes plunger to get a good idea/video about how to completely prime a carto, as they use clear cartos to demonstrate full saturation, something very difficult to achieve via top priming. Check it out!
