:)

Been using Kanger stuff on an MVP2 for the longest, and I found it great for daily use.

However, I was bored and wanted to see what all the hype was with the current gen of RBAs, so I got a Tobeco Orchid V4.

My first attempt, probably 10 feet of wasted kanthal, tons of wasted cotton, and about 5ml of juice wasted. I think the end product is fantastic!

I did 9 wraps of 28 gauge, came out to 1.2 ohms resistance, vaping at 17 watts, Cloupor CANA DNA30 clone, VTC4 battery. It's actually a cooler vape than I'm used to, as strange as that sounds.

I do have a few questions about the Orchid V4:

1. it has a tendency to leak through the airholes and top even using the bottom fill hole. Are these particular RBAs prone to leaking or did I do something wrong?
2. When it comes time to rebuild... can I simply replace the cotton if I'm satisfied with the coil performance, or do I need to rebuild the whole thing again?
3. Can I build this thing as a single coil if I wanted or must it be a dual coil?

Thanks in advance for all the feedback guys!

I don't have an orchid but it looks similar to the kayfun.

1: I'd experiment with the wicking;
sounds like too much liquid getting into the fog chamber.

One thing to check is turn it upside .... wait: first put some junk juice or water in and turn it upside down, and see iff all the juice comes out; if so, then the top of the chimney is not sealed.

2: Yes on any rba you can just remove the old cotton, dryburn the coil, and replace with fresh cotton; that 28 gauge will last alot longer than the 30/32/34 gauge you get on the stock clearomizer coil heads.

Yep just as you said... chimney wasn't fully sealed against the o-ring on the top. Also noticed it leaking from the bottom, turns out I overtightened the fill hole screw which caused it to make a poor seal. Resolved those issues now no more leaking. Thanks!!

You can probably crank it up to 20 watts. Just make sure you don't chain Vape it real hard tho. And yes. You can just change the wicking out if you like the build. The coils should last you a month or so. Just unwick. Burn the coils off Clean rewicked fill and Vape

You can do a single coil. I have done it. And it Vapes great. The wicking is the trick I wil dig up my picture I had of it later and post
