I am completely new to this so I may have messed my atti up. I was using the first flavor i purchased at the store for a few days and it started to give me nasty headaches. So i order some liquids from Mountain Oak Vapors Premium Tennessee E-Liquid - The Best American Made E-Liquid on the market!. I tried to get all of the liquid out when i got the new stuff. After a few days it seems like the taste of the e liquids is not as strong as it used to be. I am wondering if i changed the liquids too many times and now its contaminated. please help

Your juice is probably not contaminated unless it has become very cloudy, rank tasting, or a marked difference in color with a bad odor.

If you are vaping tobacco juices, your atty probably needs some cleaning. Gunk can build up around the coils especially with darker flavored juices and give you an off-taste.

Let us know what atty you are using and somebody can help you with how to clean it.

drop the atty into some cheap vodka for an hour........pull it out + shake it......put it upside down on a paper towel for 30 minutes

use it

I just purchased a new one and now I don't taste the flavor as much. Can you use these things too much and your taste buds lose there taste? I am sorry to be such a noob here but I want to learn all I can about these things. I have been analog free for almost 20 days.
I enjoy this so much more and I want to get a nice device so I am taste these amazing flavors

You may be experiencing "vapors tongue". I faced it for the first time this morning (I've only been vaping a short time as well). Some recommendations I found here on ECF are drink lots of water, rinse with Listerine or lime juice, drink lots of water, eat some romaine lettuce, drink lots of water, vape some poor tasting juice while waiting out, ... One post even recommended rinsing with vinegar or eating some pickles :). I drank lots of water, rinsed with listerine and have regained some of my ability to taste vapor. Time will tell how long it lasts.

Congrats Blue!! 20 days woohoo!

Here's some e-cig vocabulary to help newbies out:

Atomizer (atty) is a part of a clearomizer. A special type of atty can be used alone for dripping. It is called a dripping atty...a few drops of liquid at a time.

Clearomizer is usually a plastic cylinder containing an atty & some wicks. The clearomizer holds the liquid.

What you've got there is a clearomizer that is disposable after a few uses. You found out after using a new one that the vape experience is improved.

Blue, we're glad you're here & we're glad you've switched to vaping. Keep coming back.

You have a few different things going on here.

Headaches can be a sign of "over nic-ing". You're using 18mg & 24mg which are both considered high strength. Vaping doesn't get in your blood stream the same way smoking did so you can keep vaping because the craving hasn't been satisfied yet but there is still residual nic in you that hasn't yet gotten to your brain yet which can cause a "nic headache". I've always used 18mg and have gotten into the habit of hitting it for a few minutes and then sitting it down till the nic level stabilizes in me.

In the beginning taste can fluctuate. I've always thought of it as the "vaping blahs" but the only things that made it go away for me were 1) bush teeth/toungue 2) drink lots of water whilst vaping 3) switch up your flavors regularly 4) more powerful devices with better heads. I'm partial to Gennie and Silica RBAs but even a little more wattage on a Protank can give a more satisfying vape.

On the PGA thing, I've used Everclear for cleaning PVs for a long time. I only use it on metal or glass/pyrex parts but it works great (100 proof vodka works in a pinch too). On plastic or rubber parts I only use dish soap and warm water (and keep a little 0 nic VG around to recondition o-rings)

Thank you for the warm welcome, it feels great to not be smoking analogs. They always tasted terrible to me so vaping is awesome.

Battery life with cig sized PVs has always been an issue. You may want to consider a 350 or 400 mah Mini eGo- fires at 3.7 volts and is 510 threaded. Batt info: 100 mah= 1 hour normal vaping. I use mine for stealth vaping at concerts. Various models but here's a review:

Here's a good price for a Mini starter kit from an ECF verified Vendor- realize it's a push button/ manual- most of us prefer the manual as it puts us in control of the vape:

I would have to point to the 18mg and 24mg as well. I started with 12mg, thought it was too weak, so I kicked it up to 24mg solutions, got real sick, came down to 18mg, felt dizzy, and found that 12mg was the right concentration afterall.

My 18mg and the 24mg are now diluted with 0mg solutions (in the right proportion) to bring it down to 12mg.

For 24mg and 0mg to make 12mg, just do a 50% 24mg 50% 0mg mix (such as 1.5ml + 1.5ml)

For 18mg and 0mg to make 12mg, just do 66% 18mg and 33% 0mg mix (such as 2.0ml + 1.0ml)

If 12mg is still too strong, you should try to kick it down to 6mg, I think everyone's tolerance to Nicotine is different, so you may have to vape a bit to find the right level for you...
