Hey guys. Im excited to try my new E-cig comparing to the gas station e-cig Mistic. I posted awhile back on what I was getting but now I've changed it it a bit as far as where I'm getting the supplies and what kind of battery.

First off I'd like to say I got a beastly price on the Ego-twist. A mere 19.99 in a US company aka Vaporbeast! And I got a Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer (clear) and a CE4 tank. Yay. Best off I got this all for 30.46$!! Which is about twice as much I paid for my Mistic. The thing is the Mistic supplier expects you to pay 15$ for pack of 5 prefilled cartos and they don't sell the juice. Which I must say is a absolute rip off. Plus the battery is small and the carto is smaller. Which the Mistic pack I bought had only two cartos to start off with.. So I'm starting off with just as many cartos except these cartos will last much longer (I presume.)... Free shipping also :D!

Next I decided... I need some juice. So again I searched and searched... Until finally I came down to a handy dandy chart o liquid per ml prices! Now these prices are a little outdated because it led to me to believe that Mr. Vapor had the best prices.. Now while I'm considering ordering from them... I might not. Because I found a cheaper website that had a lot of good comments about it on thier facebook page and on this forum.

And its name is... Mt Baker Vapor! Simply awesome because of their prices and customization. You can go all the way too 36 mg strength. PLUS you can add flavor shots OR have them blend flavors. While blending flavors looks fun, its a couple of extra dollars... However for their general flavors you can get juices for 10.39 for 50 ml bottles!!!!! got two bottles.. And my grand total after shipping... 22.40.. But that includes a whole dollar worth of extra flavoring.. 3 for havana and 1 for menthol. And the shipping price AFTER the coupon discount ECF.. is 62 cents.. So I'd say free shipping with coupon :D, considering you also get a free 15ml bottle of flavoring FREE... 115 ml for 22.40.. or 20 cents a ml... Hot damn!!! I hope its as good as what I've heard :).

Anyway I got the Havana flavor and the menthol flavor. Both tobacco flavors. Really excited to get it.. And I got the house blend which I've heard about is a good blend which is 80/20 pgvg. The thing is I got 36 mg strength.. I was wondering what you guys think about that. I really want a good throat hit and stuff but I was wondering if it effected the vapor production or flavoring.

Thanks for reading if you did. Peace. All companys in the US!!

Hello and good luck. It sounds like you have some good equipment. I like 36mg myself. The one thing I will suggest is trying sample sizes with lots of flavors. I thought for sure I would be vaping tobacco or menthol and I don't vape either one.

Yah I think I will.. I found a really cheap china dekang website that sells in bulk.. 10ml dekang for a dollar each. .... just get every falvor... And you only have to buy up to ten. However I'm a bit iffy by dekang but willing to give it a shot since its made in a factory.. I'll prob be ordering different flavors soon if I like these.

Nothing wrong with dekang. I know a lot of people put them down for not being USA juice but I have vaped them a lot, when I first started. I make my own now but I did like many of their flavors. If they still have an RY4 that's a good one to try. Tobacco and carmel, thats about as close as I get to vaping a tobacco flavor.

is havana flavor supposed to taste like a cuban cigar? if so, please let me know if its good or not. despite giving up cigs for ecigs, i still have a humidor with some very nice cigars in it, including some cuban cohibas. i'll never give up cigars, though i only smoke like one a month and dont inhale so its nothing like cigs. anyways sorry for the rant, hopefully the havana juice is cigar flavored otherwise my rant was pointless. :)

Yah its kind of funny. A lot of the USA vendors use China juices. I just think their overpriced from US vendors. Once I get settled into with my juices I wont mind the long wait for the juices. And I've heard a lot of good things about RY4. Honestly I wish I wouldve tried the RY4 from mt baker then the Havana. Oh well. I heard they didn't have the best RY4 but who knows. Most people have different opinions. Im not quite ready for DIY juices yet.. Maybe once I get a little extra money.. Thats why I did so much research to find reasonable quality prices(as for as I believe). I'm so stoked waiting for this stuff to come in the mail! Some people pay 50$ just for 100ml of juice I got a hole starter kit plus that haha.

I'll make sure I let you know. From the site it says its a sweet and mild cigar. and someone said they wish they would've added more flavor to it so I added 3 extra shots. And don't worry about ranting. I'm ranting the hell out of this thread xD

I too smoked cigars and analogs for a long time. I know what you mean about Cohiba! My favorite was the Arturo Fuente curlytop.

I got a birthday present, recently, and was able to order some High Brow Cigar e-liquid, oddly enough I wanted 36mg, and put in the notes I liked the rich full flavor of the A.F CT and when I got my order they did a good job a mimicking it. I've gotten into DIY and have one cigar base recipe and one I call "ongoing cigar" in an attempt to nail down one that I really like.

I think I will always have some 36mg e-liquid handy. If the Arturo Fuente Devil or the ananlog craving Demon, either one, rears their ugly head I just drip a little 36mg e-liquid and they both disappear in a cloud of vapor.

cohibas gotta be cuban though. dominican cohibas arent that great. there are, however, a ton of great dominican, honduran and nicarguan cigars. i have no desire to stop smoking cigars cuz theyre a once in awhile thing and they arent inhaled. there was a time that i was smoking 2-3 premium cigars a day so that was a little much. now i smoke them so infrequently that they age for sooooo long in my humidor theyre probably doubling in price due to inflation and the aging making them better.

i have not tried 36mg. started with 18mg which i found too weak then moved up to 24mg and i think its just about right in the morning and maybe a tad too strong the rest of the time. so i wont be getting any 36mg, unless it tastes exactly like a premium cigar. in that case it would be worth it for the taste plus good cigars give you a big nic kick so it be 'a propos'.

@ OP...I don't know you or what your smoking habits were but for me personally I think 36mg would be way too strong. I was smoking about 2 or 2.5 packs a day and if I vape 18mg too long I get that "too much nicotine" upset belly feeling....you know, where it feels like your stomach is in your throat. I am now making my juice mostly in 15mg. However, 36mg may be fine for you, I would caution you to try something a little lower first but it's your choice. Maybe have some VG handy to dilute it down if it's too strong. You mentioned that you're looking for a good throat hit (aren't we all) and I really don't know that higher nic content is going to make diference one way or the other. I've been mixing my own and whether I mix it at 8mg or 18mg nic, it still gives the same solid throat hit. It's more the PG that makes the difference than the nicotine.

I will say that this is the first time I've heard of anyone vaping higher than 24mg. And...I've only heard from a few people who went as high as 24mg....most seem to stay around the 12mg-18mg range. At least that's what I've seen in my reading on here and talking to other vapers.

I haven't been doing this long but Dekang is on brand I'm familiar with and I personally like it. They make some decent flavors with good solid throat hit and good vapor. I am pretty sure that Dekang is 100% PG (although you may find somewhere to order your preference), at least that's all I've ever seen it in. As others mentioned, lots of people have nothing good to say about Chinese juices but I don't really care where the stuff is made as long as it's good and Dekang is good...and more importantly, it's safe.

If you get to feeling creative in the future you may want to consider making your own juice. Ingredients are cheap and you can make a liter of the stuff for about the same price as a few small bottles of pre-mixed. I haven't been vaping a long time really but realized right away that mixing my own was the way to go. Of course no matter how you decide to get your juice it's going to cost you less than a cigarette habit, but if you're gonna save why not go for the gusto?

Whatever you decide to do I hope you stick with vaping. It's better for your health and wallet and it's just so much more fun shopping for vaping supplies than it is buying packs or cartons of cigarettes.

This is from our tutorial--

The strongest normal ecigarette liquid strength, 36mg, is probably equal to a medium cigarette in effective nicotine content, or 'strength' if you like. In order to replicate the TH or 'throat hit' of a higher strength cigarette, various ingredients can be added to the e-liquid recipe. As usual in matters of taste, there are endless debates about what works or what doesn't (and what the negative effects of adding such things might be to the hardware or the user) - but for example more nicotine, more PG (if mainly VG-based), alcohol, cinnamon, menthol, and strong flavors of any kind are commonly added as these may increase the perceived effect.

To make up for the fact that the strongest nicotine strength of eliquid is only equivalent to a medium cigarette, they are used for around twice as long, to accumulate more nicotine. The problem is that the vapor does not penetrate the lungs as deeply as smoke from a tobacco cigarette, so that less nicotine is absorbed by the lungs, and it may mainly come from buccal and nasal absorption (in the mouth and nose). The particle size of the water vapor from an e-cigarette is much larger than the particle size of smoke from a cigarette, which goes more deeply into the lungs.

Beginner Tutorial - 2

Bottom line- forget the numbers. You need the strength that will keep you off cigarettes. For many people, it's fairly high until they make the transition.

ya i dont know about any of the technical aspects but i was a light smoker in every regard (smoked lights, only smoked about 12 cigs/day, have only smoked that much for about a year) and 24mg was the first strength that satisfied me. so for heavier smokers i would recommend starting at a minimum of 24mg.

24 worked for me as well. I got some 12 & 24 and figured I could decrease/increase if I needed to. But 24 was great when I started. I know someone that needed 36 for about 2 weeks and once they stopped smoking quickly lowered the nicotine. They're currently down to about 9 without really trying. We're all smokers (ex-smokers I should say) and you just have to listen to your body.
