The B&M's in my area not only have extremely high prices but bad/low inventory as well. The biggest B&M in my area sells packs of about 20 cotton balls repackaged in there own packaging for $3.99. Thats the biggest rip off Ive ever heard of seeing as you can buy a bag of 500 of them for $2-3 at a Walgreens. I have only been there twice but each time Ive seen multiple people buy them. Weird combo of stupid/lazy people and super greedy store owner.

I don't have a "real" B&M in my area, but there's a convenience store about 3 miles from my house that is carrying a little vape equipment.
They had ONE MVP2 (69.99), a few Ego-type batteries, no tanks, a small display case with e-liquid (Joyetech, $7.99/10ml), and a couple of Joy starter kits (didn't check the price).
I talked to the manager for a bit, he's adding another large display case and expanding his e-cig inventory.
I bought a bottle of e-liquid, just because.

Sounds like a lot of opportunity in your area. For you, or that convenient owner or whoever gets a proper shop open around your are first.
I prefer purchasing online, many experienced man will post reviews of newest models. That could be a reference.
The only thing I dislike about my local vape store is its lack of a pricing list. They don't have a board or sheet of paper with "this costs X and this costs Y". I would think it better to show prospective vapers what a "complete" kit might be from low range to high.
Agreed. Most people on this forum knows way more about vaping than any person I have ever meet at a B & M (that's my area though I'm sure you go to some where in different areas it's the exact opposite)
i have a local liberty flights store and looked on there internet site for a usb variable voltage non battery pass through. it was the same price in there shop as it was on there internet site. same for all there other goods as well. cost me 11.99 well pleased with it had it about 6 weeks and still working fine with no signs of wear yet. they are not the cheapest around but probably more quality.
Yes and no. It's hard for me to say, but I have yet to see a vaper in the wild around here, and the handful of times I actually get out around groups of people, I haven't seen anyone vaping.
Not saying that it's not growing in popularity around here, but if that store is selling enough to justify expanding, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
I often see posts about what rip off B&M stores are but if you can find wholesale pricing for items in a Walgreens, Best Buy, Radio Shack or pretty much any retail store and I believe you would find similar mark ups in pricing. They have to make a profit to pay expenses and to make a living for everyone involved.
Most are riding a fine line between profitability and survival. It's not like you'll see a Ferrari, Hummer or another high end motor vehicle as transportation that the owner of the store has used to get to work.

I'm a recluse so buying online is my preferred mode of purchasing.
