OK - one more post and I'll stop, I promise:) There is tons of information to gather when you are first starting, so just pace yourself and educate as much as possible. Jump in and buy something - I promise it will work out okay. You will have to buy more clearos eventually, just like Ocelot said. I personally bought about a dozen of a couple of different types when I started so that I could figure out what folks meant by the top coil experience vs the bottom coil experience (I like bottom coils mostly, for example). If you get something to start, it's a good start...you start to learn what you like or even what you don't. If you don't vape a lot, you won't need juice right away. I bought about 100ml to start, and it lasted me about 6 weeks. If you end up vaping more than you thought, no problem - buy more juice (it's an experimenting opportunity! Try a new flavor you think you might like with one you do like) and it will still be cheaper/better than analogs. I also don't think you can go wrong with an ego twist - it is incredibly versatile, and I still use mine often eventhough I have branched out to more "advanced" pvs.

Absolutely! All I can add is that if you try a juice and it tastes horrible, put it in a cabinet and try it a few weeks later. Flavor frequently improves with age. And have fun with this! Vaping is far more fun than smoking (besides being, like, better for you an' stuff)!

Oops, I lied. Another post - just a reminder to drink lots of water especially when you start vaping more often. It does tend to dry out your throat.

Ocelot was also right when she linked you to Baditude's blogs - he really knows his stuff. So does Ocelot. There are so many great resources on this site, and I urge you to use them. Check out the blogs and the information forums.

When you get tempted to buy more stuff, you can also look for discounts on this site (I use Google to search for "discount code ecf" + the vendor's name if I want to buy something from a specific vendor). You can also go to: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals.html
And check out this off-site:

Occasionally, you will luck on just the discount you need at just the right moment.

Sweet. Am ordering now with the extra recommended clearos... Do i get sr lr or llr for the excalibur ego 650 mah kit?

I personally recommend SR (regular resistance) LR is low resistance, and not normally recommended for ego batteries. You want to look for something around 2.0 ohm resistance up to about 3.0 ohm resistance (above 3 is HR or high resistance).

You think so? Everyone has different tastes. I found the eGos didn't push SR (over 2.0 ohms) hot enough.

One never knows. I just had to dial down to 4.1v on a 3.0 ohm carto (in tank), since it was popping a little too much and splashing juice back up (it's a pretty thin juice).

Quality control can be spotty on cartos and clearos - it took a while for me to understand why some would burn juices and others wouldn't.

Fishcakes - congrats on jumping in. I hope you enjoy your gear, and good luck.

you'll find that on here fishcakes. Lots of help from serial vapers. My vaping experience is limited but coming on here i've learnt alot from the members. I've checked other forums out too including ones based here in the u.k but this forum is my go to for everything vaping now.
Welcome.......Enjoy......and Chill...............
You'll find that the new hobby that you now have will take up far more time than you ever spent smoking anologues. It's an addiction in itself:ohmy:
