Hey everyone! I've been going through this site for about a month or so now, but I've been too lazy to even make a post!

So yeah, I've only been smoking for 2 years, and about 3 months ago, it started to hurt breathing when doing even the simplest of tasks. And when I'd take deep breaths, I could feel sharp pains in my heart, sounds bad, especially because my family has a history of heart conditions.

Me being an idiot and smoking 1 and a half to 2 packs of marl. smooths isn't exactly the smartest thing to do...and I didn't take quitting seriously until I was fascinated by e-cigs.

So I got my 510 about a week and a half ago and I'm freaking out because it tastes hella good, and haven't touched a single cig. I'm not sure how the rest of you felt after a week or two, but I'm feeling really clean and good now.

Not sure what to get next, I'm kind of interested in the 901, but not sure, any tips?

Talk to ya'll later!

Hey there, welcome to the board :) Good to hear you're doing well with your 510. I only use a 510 myself.. manual battery and I drip rather than filling carts -unless I'm going to be out running around alot then I will fill some carts because its less hassle then having to pull over to drip on my atty :p If you like the 510 why not stick with it? Get yourself some spare parts, juice, a PCC and usb passthrough if you're one to smoke while on the computer. I havent tried anything else as I am very happy with my 510. Maybe someday I will venture into something else but I hate to waste money when I'm happy with what I have.

Hey Fish! I appreciate your success story! Glad you've decided to jump in.

I don't have experience with the 510 but have used the 901 from the beginning. Perhaps someone who has both can provide better information for you. My initial thought is I agree with Tori. I'm not sure the 901 would be enough of a difference. In fact I read more people prefer the 510 over the 901.

I currently use a Prodigy and appreciate it for the higher voltage and tank like craftsmanship. The Prodigy isn't the only "big dog" out there but that's my personal experience. I loved my 901 but thanks to my new device I find it un-useable.

If you are interested in a different experience I suggest you check out the Screwdriver, GG, Zi-Moshi, or Prodigy. I hope I haven't missed anyone.

My advice is to definitely stick with a manual switch PV. (I'm assuming you got the manual 510 - if not, you should). If you get the 901, again get the manual batteries not the auto batteries. If you want to step up to the premiere devices like many of us have, you will save money on the batteries that last 5-8 hours on a charge but only cost $2, instead of $13-$20 for the ciggy like batteries. Here are some to consider if you choose to go that route:

The Big Seven in Long Battery Life Manual Switch PV’s:

Screwdriver: ecigscrewdriver.com
The Black Screwdriver Kit / Totally Wicked eLiquid / Electronic Cigarette eLiquid Store
Prodigy: PureSmoker.com - Home of the USA Built PV !!!
GG: SmokeJuice - HOME
JantyStick: Janty USA
LV/ZiMoshi:Personal Vaporizers : Hardass Vapor Shop
Super T: Super T, Innovative manufacturer of Personal Vaporizer products.
AdapteverR: AdapteveR Home of the ORIGINAL USA built PV : Home

Note: all of these either use 510, 901 or 801 atomizers and some can use all three.

I'm a pretty big fan of the 901... but I started with it. The 510 has the throat hit that some people crave when they switch from analogs. But since I started with the 901, I don't enjoy the throat hit of the 510.

The flavor and consistency of the 901 is amazing, and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

...except maybe a Janty Stick.

Hehe thanks for the response guys! Yeah I've got the manual 510 and it hasn't caused me any issues at all. But I may try out another of these models you guys have advised because I've enjoyed vaping so much lol.
I am a big fan of the Vapor King. It is a two piece PV that uses a "cartomizer" (atomizer built into the cart). Great throat hit and vapor. Cartomizers are disposable, yet refillable. Excellent PV. Hands down my favorite. They are having a great sale going on, especially the Vapor King starter kit that comes with ALOT of XTRAS, like a usb passthru, a PCC, carry case, juice, filled carts, etc. Check it out at Vapor4life.com and get a quality U.S. distributed product. You will be shocked at the price. Their juices are the the BOMB and very inexpensive. Lightning fast shipping (usually 2-3 business days). Customer service is beyond reproach ! !! Welcome to the vaping community and the best of luck with your new experience. I LOVE IT ! ! ! I LOVE THE VAPOR KING ! ! !
