Hey Gang, Been lurking for a few weeks now, so just stopping by to say hi! Been vaping for about a month now and love it, no more stinkies for me!!!!!! Started with a crappy starter kit that came with a horrible tank. Still have the battery but upgraded to the Mini Nova and am really enjoying it. But from what I read it gets much better once you dive into mods and rebuilds. I can't wait to experience better vaping.

Thank You all for the great information!

Well once you find your setup you love that will help you quit for starters. Once you do quit, the money you spent on vaping gets compared to the amount you would spend on packs everyday. so say you spend 10$a day for a pack like i used to on Kauai, and you have bought about 300$ on vape equipment. Given 30 days, you will have broke even, and from there on out you will have saved started saving money!! it's a great thing to know you have broke even!

Thanks everyone! Can anyone share the secret to saving money compared to analogs. I definitely spent more in the last month than when I was smoking. I know long term it is cheaper but my wishlist begs to differ, HA. I also ordered some DIY supplies and can't wait to get on that.

Hi mill-house and welcome to ECF. There are a group of us who lurked before joining, so you are in good company. If someone tells you the secret of saving money, let the rest of us know. All joking aside, I haven't saved much money over the past 4 months of vaping, but I am stocked with enough juice to last at least 4 months, enough clearos and spare coils to last about a year. A couple more batteries will ease my mind because I always worry about running out of anything, especially when I find things that I like. I don't want anything to run out that would give me an excuse to go back to analogs.

Hope you continue to find this community and the folks here to be supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. The folks here have been a huge part of my vaping success. This forum gives me one more thing to look forward to in the evening.

Keep the vape and namaste.

Making your own liquid saves a ton. What I did to make sure I saved money instead of buying toys non stop is figure out a budget. By that I mean have at least 3 batteries and 3-4 tanks/ cartos/ whatever topper you use. Figure out what those cost you. Figure out what your smokes cost you which I imagine was closer to 5 a pack. What ever you spent per month in smokes subtract 25-50 and there's your vape budget, give it a couple months you'll break even and can justify a new toy guilt free. I broke even February 1st :) and thanks to DIY supplies I havn't touched my vape budget for this month yet, nor does it look like I'll need to. Best of luck

Congrats and welcome to ECF! The first 2 months I dropped almost 800 bucks. This last month, I haven't spend a thing. Once you find out what you like and get your initial costs out of the way, things will settle unless you become an enthusiast and have to own it all! Either way a day with out a stinky is priceless. Happy vaping!

I agree completely, just dropped $100 on DIY Juice supplies so that should last me a while. It's the hardware that is expensive in the beginning, but I knew that. Not complaining at all because I'm in love with vaping! I was spending about $250 a month on smokes, so even if I spend $200 on vaping I'm ahead, and I quit the smokes. I'd probably pay $500 a month if it means not going back to cigarettes!!!!

Thanks gang!
