I don't trust Chinese
disposable vapes. They're bad news bears, don't you know! There are much better ways of getting your nicotine...cheaper ways too
Well the cheapest cheapest way is buying liquid nicotine in VG and using it like hand cream (which it sort of is) from what I can tell cheap disposables are about 10X the cost of RBAs and DIY. They start out cheaper of course, but that lasts maybe weeks.
The gigantic advantage of disposables is only good if you’re under age, or possibly in a place where ecigs are illegal, depending on how their local laws work. They can produce very little vapor, and if they’re confiscated you’re only out the cost of the disposable, and they’re cheaper to ditch. Also their permantly sealed tanks make auto switches somewhat (but only somewhat) more reliable.
That can actually be a disadvantage though. You notice they normally omit a tank window so you can’t tell how much juice you used even though it would be trivially easy to do. The secret is auto switches basically always fail, and when they do the device must be “empty” even though it often isn’t. So you don’t even get all of that 10x as expensive juice.
The one I consider reprehensible is there is absolutely no way to titrate because the tanks are sealed. So most people CAN’T quit them. The whole “ people should be able to quit at 3mg” thing is BS. At that level recidivism is about the same as analogs. About 20% are successful. There are all kinds of people that get to 3mg and can’t get past it. I ran fractional mg and it worked. And they won’t even do that often. Stores generally only carry them in 5mg. And the last step, which is removing the flavoring, can’t be done at all.
With pods and cartridges and RBAs It at least CAN be done even if the store owners won’t tell you how. With disposables it’s simply impossible. They’re even worse than Analogs that way.
So an incredibly expensive trap that can cheat you.
Another thing that annoys me is they aren’t even new. They’re just shoddily made versions of 15-20 year old concepts. There were disposables BEFORE even cartos, and they work the same way they always did. They just sold abysmally. It was JUUL that changed things.
Chinese companies are the same as American companies, they just have less effective regulation enforcement, so the percentage of utter crap is higher.
