Been lurking around here for a couple of months and it dawned on me today that I had never even noticed where the 'post new thread' button was! So I thought it was about time...
My back story (I'll try keep it short): I'd been a 1/2 to 1 PAD smoker for 24(ish) years, somebody suggested e-cigs a while back but it took a while till I started researching and stumbled upon this forum (happliy it's hard to miss) and decided to give them a try. I started with a heavily advertised UK cig-a-like brand (ELites) as they are the ONLY e-cigs available locally where I live. Loved them but soon realised their shortcomings and ordered a Riva (eGo type) starter kit and haven't looked back... (ok, only once but don't tell my GF
).
I've now upgraded to an eVic (was a close tie with a Vamo but I love the techy side of the eVic) with an rba (well an rda at least with an Octopus) and DIYing my own liquid.
The main reason I wanted to post however, was to thank everybody here for the masses of help I've had in choosing vaping, choosing my gear and learning the many ins-and-outs involved in this alternitive/hobby/life-saver... i've never even had to post a question as there is sooo much information here already!
So thanks to all the veteran members and the noobs alike for all the info and love that passes through here!
