Hey guys,

I just recently joined the fine e-smoker people. xD
In fact, since the moment I received my Myle two week ago I didn't use even one cigarette. I was using one pack per day before that; I still have the last pack I had the day I bought this. xD So probably kinda heavy smoker.

Just wanted to say I am happy with the decision and now I feel a lot better. Had moments of uncomfortable breathing in the last months that Myle solved completely in the last two week for me.

While here; I have some questions that one of you more experienced people around here might be able to help me with.

These sort of things are expensive here; in fact, the Myle battery cost me like 200$ to buy and pods are like 200$ per pack (4 pods) too. So I decided to buy a Cuban Cigar pod (only a single one since they sell it out of the box here too) that I used the same day and decided to refill it with the SaltNic Mint (120$ for 30ml) as I was a Marlboro ICE user and I like the mint flavour. Both flavours didn't disappoint me a bit btw.
However, I am now on my ~20 ~25 refill of the same pod and I have no idea how many times I can refill it in theory.
Also, I have a leaking problem. I don't know why and how as it seems quite random. I don't fill it completely now since I figured it might be the reason for leaking. But it still happens. And I am not talking about the tip of the pod (it happens but I learned to control in the first day), but rather from somewhere else and this makes the contacts dirty and sometimes even leaks out of device completely.
Is this usual for Myle or e-cigarets in general? I don't have any experience with any other device. Is my pod broken maybe?

I really don't like to pay 200$ for 4 pods that I am going to use in two days.

Also; if there is a better device I can go for please feel free to suggest. The only thing that is important for me is to be able to have it in my pocket and not being bulky. Stealth you might say.

I am kinda interested in "Lost Vape Orion Q" and might buy one later to see how it performs since it is not available now. A little bulky, but I figured there shouldn't be any leaking problem and refilling it should be easier than Myle.

I am currently in Iran and the economy wasn't very good in the last years due to Trump sanctions and other internal issues. So we had a 3 times inflation around 8 years ago and another 4 times last year. I converted the prices in a way so you can understand how much I need to pay if I was living in the US for example since the salaries didn't increase as much (if any) but the price of imported products increased on par with the value of USD. Also, these sort of devices are not "legal" (and not "illegal" either) in my country yet and therefore supplier charges a 100% premium on the original price. Add this to the inflation problem minus the increase in salaries and you get the price I mentioned. xD
I need to buy some pods the next time I am out of the country to at least get rid of the supplier premium part. But I am not sure if the airport allows these sort of things on the plane.

Welcome to ECF, s_falahati. Are the pods you are using refillable? If so, you may want to think about DIY (making your own e-liquid). If not, you may want to think about getting a refillable pod and still getting into DIY.

Hello from Canada, my Persian friend. Congratulations on switching! Speaking in general terms, since I don't know your device, you can often refill a pod ten times or so before it suffers, if it was made to be refilled. And non-refillable pods three to five times. When your pod wears out the flavor suffers and it can leak. Since it's not illegal there, perhaps you can import some affordable equipment and supplies from a site like FastTech.

Yeah; Myle pods have a small robber thingie at the end that you can take out and refill it. They even sell empty pods so it must be considered refillable.

I was thinking about making my own e-liquid but I think I need to learn a little from this forum and YT before trying to do something like that. I already found local suppliers for PG and VP tho. :)

    Thanks,
I am ok with e-liquid prices here but if I can only use the pods 10 times (which is like 6 days for me at the time) I need to think about other devices. What is your opinion in regard to devices which use a tank instead of pods? Like the one I mentioned. (Lost Vape Orion Q)
Are tanks more durable? I mean considering the coil and ...
Now that you mentioned it I also forgot that my pod was empty once and therefore kinda half-burned the piece of cotton inside the coil. So I need to change the pod asap I suppose.

Thanks for suggesting the FastTech website as well.

DIY is much easier than one may expect, and there are plenty of people here who would be willing to help you out. There are also several threads here dedicated to that subject.

Yes, changing/replacing the pod or the coil head itself (if that's possible) is 100% recommended. @GOMuniEsq made a good recommendation for the FastTech website/company.

A tank is by far more durable than a pod, but if you have to import pre-made coil heads and your USD exchange rate is bad, the ongoing costs may end up being similar to what you'd pay for pods. The ultimate in affordability is a rebuildable tank atomizer. You rewick it yourself every week or so with some ubiquitously cheap, locally-available cotton or rayon so your ongoing costs are near zero, except for the liquid.

Thank you for all the information guys. You already provided enough information to change my POV on the whole thing and the ways to save money.

Do you suggest any kit (a compatible battery and head) that allows rebuilding but still is stealthy and portable enough? I have seen "Bident Pod" which has a video showing the internals of the tank giving the expression that it is possible to change the cotton and the coils. But I am just not sure.
I am certainly not going for anything super expensive or super configurable since the main factor for me is the durability (repairability?) and then the cost of the kit.

I am also a noobie in regard to coil's resistance. Some say sub-ohm is better but my Myle is 1ohm and I am happy with it. Also, some e-juices are supposedly not compatible with sub-ohm coils which I don't know why.

You need to make a tradeoff. A pod is affordable, portable and discreet but not rebuildable, and the ongoing costs are high. A mod + tank system is more flexible but less discreet, with a higher up-front cost, but if you choose an RTA tank it has very low ongoing cost. I believe your best choice will be an "MTL RTA", that is a rebuildable tank atomizer intended for mouth-to-lung inhalation, that will operate at low power and not consume too much juice.

Have a look at the Geekvape Ammit Leakproof MTL RTA which ships with a 1ohm coil (likely an 8-wrap 28 gauge A1 Kanthal coil) and works with any basic mod with a 510 connector that can supply 10-15W.

The JustFog Minifit pods can be rebuilt pretty easily! There are videos all over showing how to do it. I haven't rebuilt any of mine yet, but I definitely will after seeing the simple steps to do it.

The cost for the JustFog MiniFit Kit isn't bad on FastTech...$12-14 depending on the color. You get the unit itself, 1 pod, and a charging cable. Replacement pods are sold in 3packs and 6packs for $7+change - $13+change. Not very expensive at all considering how long they last. Rebuilding them will reduce the overall cost considerably. I've been using 1 of the set-ups with the same pod off and on for over 2 months. I've probably refilled it more than a dozen times and it's still working like a charm.

ETA: I'm not saying it's better than a mod and tank, but for a super discrete set-up, with good flavor, long-lasting coils, and being rebuildable, etc....it's definitely a winner in my book! In fact, I ordered a bunch more on sale just yesterday.

This is a very good suggestion. I had forgotten that people reported success rewicking the Minifit. It's very cheap, easy to use, and wonderfully discreet.

Not just rewicking, but making and replacing the coil, too. I watched the video below, by a guy from South Africa who used SS 316L wire. He first does sort of an introduction of the Minifit, its parts, what the kit comes with, etc. and then goes through the rebuilding steps on one. @s_falahati might be interested in watching it, too.

I'm not new to diy and I've been making my own juice for about 6 months..

I mainly vape strawberry mixes but I'm really interested in making a good blueberry and cream.. anyone have any recommendations for good blueberry flavorings?

Technically this should be in the diy section but I can never find it!!! Sorry

Kelly :offtopic: hopefully I'll find some diy friends this late!
