I don't think one is better than the other. Mooch has tested both and they came out as pretty much equal. The HG2 has a higher rated CDR, but in testing they've both performed the same.
I've used both types in regulated ipv D2 and 3's. They perform great, both of them. It seems the Samsungs last a little longer than the LG's, but the LG's seem to keep more consistent up power till the last draw. I know the device regulates the power, but I really can notice the difference when the Samsungs start to get low much more than the LG.
I'll buy some 30q then as I have used hg2 for the past year and I know how good they are

The main break down between the two is the HG2 is rated at 20amp CDR, the 30Q is rated 15amp CDR and good only up to about 55watts each cell down at about 3.6 to 3.7v charge on a regulated mod.

So the ones above are basically the best way I can go on my IStick 100 Watt TC. What the most I can push they battery's at since they are only 20 amps? In a regulated Device that is. I don't have, nor will I be using any mechanical mods.

As long as you plan on staying below about 175 watts should be fine. Prolly ok up to 200 but I would use a good 30 amp CDR battery if I planned on using the DNA 200 at full power much.
I don't think you can tell much difference in practice. I bought HG2s last time because they were cheaper than the 30Qs at Orb the day I bought them.
They'll do just fine in that mod. 100W on two 20A batteries is not a problem.
I love 'em all to pieces. I own more VTC4s than all others combined. I use them exclusively in mechs, 1-battery mods, and 200W two-battery mods. But I use the HG2s in my RX 200s.
I would go He2 for pure dependability and consistent performance across the board.
