So I have a Cuboid and bought 4 LG HG2 3000 mah batteries. I just purchased a sigelei 213 and was looking to buy more when I saw a fairly new LG MJ1 3500 mah battery. The HG2 is 20 amp and the Mj1 is 10 amp. I heard that when bettered are in series the amps are doubled. Is that true? Was also wondering if the MJ1 does last that much longer than the HG2? I vape at 22-25 watts and use single coil 316 stainless. Most of my coils are about .5 to .6 ohm. Occasionally I will make a .3 ohm but have never gone lower than that. Would the MJ1 be a safe and longer lasting battery than the HG2?

So I have a Cuboid and bought 4 LG HE2 3000 mah batteries. I just purchased a Sigelei 213 and was looking to buy more when I saw a fairly new LG MJ1 3500 mah battery. The LG HE2 is not 3000mah, it is 2500mah, 20amp CDR. Good in the Cuboid up in the range over about 100 to 120watts, to go the full 160watts you'd need LG HD2C's (25amp CDR, about 2000mah). The Sigelei 213 on the other hand, the HE2's and HD2C's can't handle the 213watts fully, for that wattage range you'd need Sony VTC3, LG HB2, HB4, or HB6's (true 30amp CDR, 1500 to 1600mah), <---Notice as you go up in amp output the lower the mah???

Umm, sorry, I meant HG2 3000 mah and 20 amps. Edited my original post. I did state that I don't go over 25-26 watts so the question was do the amps double in series? Would 2 of them mean I have 40 amps to draw on or does it stay at 20 amps as one cell is rated?

Batteries in series would double the voltage to the device (cuboid in this case) but amp limit and mah stays the same as a single cell. Batteries in parallel double the amp limit and mah but the voltage to the device would be that of a single battery.
That's what I thought. So being that the MJ1 is higher mah but lower amp it would give me longer battery life but still only 10 amps correct? On the cuboid and the Sigelei 213 it shows amps. Is this the amp drain that the battery is being put under while in use? If so, I have never had it go over 7 amps so I would be safe with the MJ1 correct? The 10 amp rating on that battery is continuous rating as well correct?

It is true that when in series (2 batteries) the Voltage is doubled. To figure out whether those battery fit your vaping habits just do a quick wattage law check

Amps needed = Wattage lvl / Voltage

Assuming full charged 18650s is at 4.2V and the cut off is at 3.2V (which they usually are).

A = 25W / (4.2V x 2) & A = 25W / (3.2V x 2)

So the amperage range would be between 2.98A to 3.90A. So mathematically yes, 2 15A batteries in series should be fine for your vaping habits.

No, it's the amps that the mod's circuit board sees.

For the amp drain on your battery:
So in using this method I never go above 26W but for safety lets round to 30w. Half would be 15w per battery. The max voltage of the 213 is 7.5V so that would be 3.75V per battery. So then 15W divided by 3.75V would be 4amps. Is that correct?

Awesome! That's what I was hoping. I don't do all the fancy coils. Just a straight 26g 316 seven wrap around a 3mm bit spaced coil. Just looking for the maximum run time. I have 2 kids under 3 years old so I don't get much time in a day. Lol

I also have the sig316 but I use it with either LG HG2s or Samsung 30Qs. (both 20A, 3000mah, well 30Q is 15A).

To me its a % issue. 3500 vs 3000 mah is about a 16.67% difference in longevity but a 20 vs 15A is a 33.33% difference in power.

Even with a 3000mah 20A battery running at 30W you're probably going to get 2 days of vaping. I'm usually around 40-45W and I get a day and a half.

I'm still testing the vape time I get with the Sigelei 213 but I do get pretty poor battery life from my Cuboid. I've heard others complain of it as well. I'll be using my cuboid at work as I don't want to beat up my Sigelei. That being said the longevity of the batteries is more for the cuboid than the Sigelei as I can tell the Sigelei seems to be getting better life so far but I've only had it for a couple days so far.
