Hey guys and gals, I just received a couple of HH 357 1.5 ohm attys. I noticed that it says not to use on ego batts (which I missed when I ordered) my problem is, I only have the inferno 650 mah batts. I guess these are ego clones.

Should I use the attys on these batteries and if I do, what are the issues I could run into? Fried atty or battery?

I plan on getting a Buzz Pro within the next month, but for now I only have the 650s.

I do have some IKV LR and XLR on the way just in case I can't use the HH 357 right now.

Thanks in advance.

Theoretically, you can use a 1.5 Ohm atty on a battery of >450 mAh. It will drain the battery much faster than a standard resistance atty, and it might shorten its life, but that's unlikely for you battery.

This has nothing to do with voltage. You use lower resistance because you can't increase your voltage, so that's the only way to obtain a little higher power for your vape. You wouldn't have to use such a lower resistance if you were able to vape at a higher voltage. It is the current (Amps) that is higher at lower resistance, so smaller batteries cannot discharge fast enough to put out that kind of current.

You should be very happy with the HH.357 - make sure you follow the instructions on his site, don't dry burn it, keep it wet at all times and soak it in vodka or PGA from time to time (once a week or so). It should last you a long, long time.

It might be because the HH357's are mainly for dripping and some eGo batteries are not as well sealed as they could be, so they're susceptible to damage from leaking attys. For some reason, the small eGos seem to have more than their share of issues with shorting (At least it seems that way from the posts here.) There's no real electrical reason a 1.5ohm shouldn't work. 650mah is plenty big enough, although a 1.5ohm will drain it faster. If you have reservations about how well your eGo battery is sealed, you might want to get a drip shield.

I think these batteries are pretty tough. I have had both of them for well over a year and used other 1.5 dripping atties on them with no problems. They seam pretty well sealed. I'm not really worried about battery life, I want to go to a true 3.7 or VV PV pretty soon. I have been looking at the Hotbox and the Buzz Pro. I will probably get the Hotbox first.
