OK Ladies and Gentlemen. I have a question. Its probably a stupid one but I'm just a dumb old truck driver. But then again they taught us in driving school that the dumbest question you can ask is the one you don't ask so I will go with that.

I had to change an atomizer on one of my tubes just now. On the package of 5 it says 1.8 OHMs. On the single package that I used it says 2.4 OHMs. Is there a significant difference? Do I need to take the Package of 5 back to the vape Store and get the 2.4 OMHs? Both look the same I just don't wanna screw anything up like my batteries or tubes.

My hardware is: EGO-C, 650mah battery with option of variable charge. Vision Clearomizers....

Thank You in advance.

Not really necessary to take them back. What "tube" are you using these on? If it's a mechanical type mod (not variable voltage or variable wattage) you might prefer the 1.8Ω coils. With a 3.7 volt battery, the 1.8Ω might perform better. Check out the wattage table http://i.imgur.com/Ohn8o.png ... With a VV or VW mod, you can change your power to compensate for the different ohms.

Hi Radar , there is a correlation between the resistance and voltage , lower the resistance lower the voltage needed to heat it up.
If you don't have a variable volt or watts battery the new 1.8 ohm atty will heat up faster and higher so your juice will be either
stronger OR will start burning giving a nasty taste depending on what battery you have.
Is it's a variable voltage the you just tweak it to taste.

It's hard to say exactly when you don't give us the detail about your hardware.

Yeah Hardware Info would be nice. LOL.... Ooops. I have the EGO-C. I will edit post.

I'm pretty sure you meant to say that the 1.8 will be stronger and shorten battery life.

Have 2 batteries, always keeping one on charge. I was just wanting to know what the difference was... I do appreciate everyone's input... Check my post on Saturday. Building yet another Vapor Docking Station... Gotta have something to do to keep my Sanity. Wooooohooooo

Standard basic Ego-C 650mah outputs 3.3v, so we start looking at what watts your coil will do at a given resistance.

Using basic Ohms law

2.4ohm Coil @ 3.3v is getting to 4.5 watts roughly
1.8 ohm coil @ 3.3v is getting to 6.05 watts output precisely

Higher your watts, is going to affect, your vapor output, flavor in taste, and a stronger throat hit.

Now if that is an Ego-C Twist 650mah battery, this will give you a little more play as to dial in your vapor temp in wattage based on the voltage output of your battery. Examples, my fruit flavors I like dialed in around 6 watts, I use coils in the range of 2.0 to 2.5ohms, giving me a voltage range on my Twists of about 3.5 to 3.8 volts output. My tobacco and RY4 flavors I like 8 watts giving me 4 to 4.4 volts output.

Maybe more info than you are ready for as Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage is say advanced beginner to beginner intermediate stage, I personally think you will find the 1.8ohm heads will perform better for you than what that tank came with, even on a non-adjustable battery, the vapor will come alive a bit more for you without scorching or any other adverse affects other than more vapor output, taste, and a bit of a kick in the throat hit.

Thank You Very Much.... Its not an EGO-C Twist I know that... You have to play with the On/Off button to turn on the Variable...

I bet you're going to like the 1.8 ohms better. Lol! Let us know how it goes.

Well I mean either way it goes, the girl new what kind of kit I have. Not only did she sell it to me (and I know she remembered because she called me by name and asked me how the kit was doing me) but I even told her what kit I had. She just didn't pay attention.

You all just watch for my post on Sat or Sun. I built a Vapor Docking station out of some wood I found in my Garage. Well I am gonna up-grade that and its all done by hand. Notice I said hand and not hands... Yes just like my last one this one will be built mostly one handed... I am gonna start it either on Tuesday or Weds. Wooooohooo

1.8 will be stronger at the same voltage. Lower resistance, same voltage, higher watts, more vapor.

Won't hurt a thing. I would NOT recommend going lower that 1.8 on and ego, as it could easily damage the coil or the battery. But 1.8 is fine.

For your next battery (and you do need at least two!), I'd agree that something variable voltage would be a good step. Vision Spinner, Winder or Twist are good solid choices. As is the newer Itazte VV3, which adds variable wattage, ohm checker to the mix.
