Well I am new to the forum and to E-cigs....I am a pack to a pack and a half a day smoker and picked up a "Fifty One" 2 days ago....since then I have only had 3 smokes and I am stoked. I have a 15 month old son and my wife is 2 weeks away from our due date for our second...I have high hopes for quitting....I have tried gums, losenges, and the patch in the past and ended up smoking on all of em....this is the first time that something has worked right away....

Now what is the best one to get?

Hi ca2or!

Look just above your post here and you should see: Sticky: FAQs:Frequently Asked Questions about Electronic Cigarettes

This FAQ contains many links to great information including your question concerning which one to buy. I've only been vaping for a week but those links helped me to determine what I wanted to buy.

Welcome ca2or. Can you see the other threads posted here? If so, near the top of the list of threads is a Sticky titled FAQs Frequently Asked Questions. That's what nightsong is referring to. When you get enough posts (5, I think) you should be able to post questions in the General e-cig forum also.

I started vaping recently, and I've only used a Joye eGo, which is the same as a Joye 510 but has a bigger battery. I would recommend the eGo, but others here have their own preferences.

Good Luck!

Hi there CA2OR,
Yes, this is a great thread that YKruss pointed out. The first two choices are the most popular because they are good performers, and also their parts are interchangeable with other units, or an inexpensive adapter can be found for them. When I was faced with the same choice, I did not even consider the 901 because many reviewers here on ECF are not happy with the weak throat hit. The ECF Library features some excellent reads and is awesome to gain a lot of knowledge in a very short time slot. I think one of the most important points is -- if you order a USB passthru, do NOT let it near your computer port. Use an adapter. Your reward will be that if something goes wrong with one of the batteries, you will never fry your motherboard -- eek!

Lived in Oregon myself for 12 years -- Cave Junction, Grants Pass and La Grande. I sorely miss the gorgeous autumn colors. Welcome to ECF.

Hi OR! (used that since not in CA now. lol)

The link that YKruss recommended is a good one (but pull it up when you're on a computer).

You're going to see all kinds of model #'s thrown at you when you ask that question, so I recommend also looking at the following link (6 parts, long but worth it...pics so you know what these models look like):

The second one is the link that YKruss recommended.

Welcome and good hunting!
