Hi all!

First of all I'd like to say that this is a great forum. I have found so much useful information here whilst lurking and thinking about getting in to vaping.

A little bit about myself.. Smoker for 6 years, decided to try vaping and have not a cigarette since! In fact so far I much prefer vaping to smoking and have not had a single urge to have a cigarette. I bought myself a EVOD Starter Kit to get started from many recommendations on Youtube. It's a great kit now that I'm used to it. To start with I had some problems with leaking in to the mouth (fixed by adding an extra 'o' ring to the coil).

Now for the questions:

1) I have seen many recommendations on Youtube and around the internet for the Aspire Nautilus Mini. I'm thinking I would like to try this device but am new to vaping so not sure how well it would work with my batteries. The Nautilus Mini comes with a 1.8 Ohm Coil head. Has anyone used the Nautilus Mini with the EVOD starter kit EGO style batteries? Does it perform well? Or should I be looking to replace/use a different battery?

2) Can anyone recommend any sites/juices that can be ordered for delivery in the UK? I ordered some juice from The Juice Shop and I am enjoying it so far.

Thanks very much in advance for any advice!

The Nautilus mini is an excellent tank. Especially with the vertical coil... It would be an excellent upgrade for you. Will it work on the Ego? Yes.. Absolutely... However, you may find that it's a bit "odd" for you... Because of it's larger diameter when placed on a stick battery it's going to look a bit like walking around with a lollipop. Now if you don't care about that, then by all means... However....

Consider this... Suppose one day you wake up and head to work... You pull out your trusty ego and decide to vape away... But alas, it won't fire... Did you remember to charge it? Is the pin pushed down to far? Did that jolt when it rolled off the table this morning break a wire? OH NO! You can't vape.. What are you going to do? No vape stores on the way to work... and they aren't open yet anyway.... Oh no!!! Well... there is that corner store that sells cigarettes.... I guess I could just......

A bit dramatic I know... but you get the picture... It's ALWAYS a good idea to have a backup just in case something goes wrong... You never know when or where that might happen.

So with all that said, yes, I would look for a different mod... something with a bit more size to it that might match the nautilus a little better... The reigning suggestion around here, and from me as well is the Innokin MVP 2. It's just that good... it makes a GREAT step up from an Ego as long as you don't mind the box form factor... If you give it a chance I think you'll find that Ego will quickly become your "keep around just in case" setup... :)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

I'm thinking I would like to try this device but am new to vaping so not sure how well it would work with my batteries. The Nautilus Mini comes with a 1.8 Ohm Coil head. The Nautilus will work fine on an EVOD, However, if you wanted to upgrade an MVP would be a great way to go.

1. Huge (2600 mah) battery
2. Variable voltage/wattage
3. Ability to vape while charging
4. $40 shipped at many online stores

Can anyone recommend any sites/juices that can be ordered for delivery in the UK? I ordered some juice from The Juice Shop and I am enjoying it so far.
I have heard good things about eliquid from Decadent Vapors in England.:)

Here are some other sites I have seen members post:
1. UK Vapers for UK shops and liquid makers.
2. Digbys Juices (The Dr Jekyl and Mums Custard are rated.)
3. Kraken Ecigs
4. Vapemunki-Eliquids
5. Imported USA Juice: Spiritus Vapes (Be warned that these juices are higher cost due to import fees to the UK)
6. CloudHouseVapor - The European Source For American Made E-Liquids

The MVP2 with the Aspire Mini is a great combo. I bought one mini and after two days of use I had to buy a second one for the wife who didn't vape until that point. The flavor is great and so far the coils seem to be lasting quite a while. I have been using my MVP2 for 8 months every day and have not had a single problem with it. Four of those months were spent in the desert just outside of Doha, Qatar. Very dusty and very very hot. No issues at all. Mod was in my pocket 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I think that says a little about the quality construction. Also I could get almost 3 full days of use out of it before charging.

Wow, so many great responses, thank you very much!

The MVP2 sounds fantastic and I can get one online for around £35. I think I will hold out on doing so for the time being purely due to cost, but when I am ready to upgrade the MVP2 definitely looks the way to go!

Thank you Susan~S for the recommendations on Juice sites in the UK.

One more question I have (and sorry if it may be a bit vague or sound silly) but I have heard 'scares' around about nicotine overdose. Would I need to be vaping extremely excessively for this to happen or is it something I should be careful about? How much would be too much? I am currently using 15mg in my eliquid.

Thanks again for all the responses!

you'll know if you've got too much, look up symptoms of nicotine overdose the nausea and headache generally would warn me or flushing, I was vacuuming once and got a palpitation but I dialed down that nicotine level and fast after that *lol*

for the times I chain vape, I use a 6mg (or a 3mg one my daughter left the other day)

I vaped 12mg for a long time. When I upgraded my device (from ego) i also cut the nic. went down to 6. I chain vape 3mg now (0mg before bed). If you are making your own juice, do your research!! 12mg is really 1.2% nic. How much nicotine one can handle is entierly dependent on the person. Like a previous poster said, you will know because you will start to feel sick.. (hedache, light headed, nausia). Its extremely difficult to die from a nicotine overdose when vaping (dont drink the juice...) as it is self regulating.. when you get too much your body will start throwing up warning signs. back off and relax. usually my over nic lasts about 30 min or so, no more. If you start overnicing, vape less, or lower your nic level.

Thanks HecticEnergy, that really helps. I just tend to find that at home I am chain vaping, so maybe I should get a lower nicotine juice to use at home and keep the high nicotine juices for work where I don't get many breaks/chances to vape.

That may work. It's rough dealing with 2 different nic levels like that. I'd say olding onto your higher nic for work would be a good call, then when you run out of that just stick to 1 30ml at a time of 12mg. or you could get some 0mg of the same flavor and mix them 50/50 to get 6mg. depends on how much juice you currently have on hand I guess :)

Alternately you can just get some really low nic (0 or 3mg) of different flavors and chain vape those.. then reach for the 12mg when you are jonesing for a fix.
