Hi all.

Some of you may have read in a previous thread that I am currently using an EVOD starter kit to vape and I am getting on great with it. Next on my list to buy was an Aspire nautilus Mini which I've heard great things about from many users and Youtubers.

Now my mum has used my EVOD and really likes it and wants to also try to give up cigarettes and convert to vaping :)

So I'm thinking of getting an Aspire Premium Starter Kit for myself (Aspire CFVV+ Black Carbon Fibre Battery, Aspire Mini Nautilus with Airflow Control, 5 Pack New Aspire BVC Coil Heads (1.8ohm), 420mah USB Charging Cable) and giving her my EVOD starter kit. Which I think would work out great as I get the tank I want and a VV battery and my mum gets a great starter kit too.

Before I do so, my question is this. Has anyone here used the Aspire CFVV+ Black Carbon Fibre Battery? And if so is there anything I should know about (known issues etc) or is it all fine and I should just go for it?

Thanks very much in advanced! :vapor:

Personally I'd get a MVP 2.0 for $40, and Nautilus mini for around $25. The MVP battery has well over twice the capacity, and you can adjust wattage or voltage. Or now that Aspire has released the BVC coils for their other clearos you could buy several $7-$15 clearos and use the BVC coils. Depends on how important the adjustable airflow is to you.

Hmm.

For some reason I can't explain, the battery and the Nautilus are not the same width... which means it looks less good than it could be.

It only has one battery - which might be an issue if you give away your EVOD kit.

Also, I am concerned about the price. How much are you looking at? (£41.00 after discount is the region).

The mini Nautilus uses liquid at an incredible rate, so be careful about your nicotine level and ramping up the power.

ALSO - Please, please buy it from somewhere that has good customer service. None of these VV batteries are perfect. :)

Actually - that is a good point. You don't HAVE to buy the mini Nautilus to get the BVC coils. You could get an MVP or Vision Spinner and the smaller Aspire clearomiser that take the new CE-style BVC coils.

Aspire lists the battery in the Premium Kit as 900mah, some vendors list it as 1000mah. The MVP 2.0 battery is 2600mah, so the MVP has close to triple the battery capacity.

Yes... the battery will be a disaster for lasting. Even the so-called 1,650mAh Spinner is fairly bad. Actually, the new Spinner doesn't even last as long as the old one, which was rated at 1,300.

The actual rate of power consumption will vary between devices, and I know the MVP will shut off with some battery charge remaining, to avoid damage/stress on the battery. Still I'd expect to easily get twice the battery life with the MVP as the Aspire battery in the kit. Plus you get both variable voltage and variable wattage modes, and the VV range is a bit wider.

Well, I'v got to second the MVP2 with a mini Nautilus. Although I've just ordered a couple of 5 packs of the new BVC for NON Nautilus tanks.

I have a number of the glass Davides and ProTank 2s which with a $3.00 adapter by AnyVape can convert to use these new BVC's. The Nautilus BVC's can only be used in the Nautilus and are longer than the new replacement BVC's for non Nautilus tanks.

I rebuild coils and use rayon wicking (just trying out hemp) for the Davides and ProTanks. Can go a bit higher in voltage/wattage, gives good vapor and flavor, no dry hits. But, I was curious to see how the new, for NON Nautilus tanks, BVC's would work and if I got the same quality from Davides/ProTanks as the mimi Nautilus or to my rebuilt coils. Always adapting!

I don't have the Aspire kit but I do have the Aspire CF VV 1300 mah batt topped with the Mini Nautilus. I had been looking for the CF+ VV because it is straight-walled up the the connector, but no one has it in Canada, and its only 1000 mah and I prefer a higher mah. Actually very few B&M have any of the CF batts.

Anyway I do think this Aspire batt and tank look and work really nice together. The batt also has 0.1 volt click-stops which makes it easier to set. Before getting the CF batt I was using an Evod VV 650 mah with the Nautilus Mini. I go through only about 1.5mil of juice per day and that 650 batt lasted all day; and predictably this new CF 1300mah lasts me 2 days at 4.3 volts on the 1.8 BVC coil.

Here's my setup:

£41 Is the price I was looking at from VapeEscape. What do you mean by the batteries aren't perfect?

Hmm, I'm definitely tempted by the MVP2.0, and really it is what I want I'm just thinking of the money at the moment! I might just have to splash out and buy the MVP2.0.

I'm pretty set on the Nautilus/Nautilus mini as I love the look, but out of curiosity do these Clearos work as well as the Nautilus mini?

There are lots of VV eGos to choose from these days. Spinners, Twists, Evod twists, Mega SLB, Aspire...
None of them have a 100% track record. That's why you need to buy from somewhere that will look after you should the worst happen.

We don't know yet.

Sadly, I just stocked up on a mini Protank 3 and 5 coils, so it'll be at least a few weeks before Vape Escape will be getting a knock on the door! :)

- - -

My personal feeling is just to take a gamble on these things IF you can add them to another order. Most of them will get used in the long run.

I've had so many over the years..some good, some bad. £5 only hurts if you rely on just the one or it doesn't even last longer than a £4 CE4 or iClear16.

Maybe it's different in the UK, but in the US there isn't much of a price difference. I found the Aspire Premium Kit for $60-$80. You can get a MVP 2.0 for $40, a Nautilus Mini for $22-$25, and a 5 pack of BVC coils for $10. About $75 all together.

Might want to take a look at the Aspire K1. About half the price, though it's a bit smaller than the Nautilus Mini and doesn't have the adjustable airflow. I've only seen pre-orders so far, but should be available very soon. Uses the new non-Nautilus BVC coils

I have to say that I like the new Kanger Emow mega tank system with a 1600 battery along with a tanks that fits perfectly with it. I get about 30 hours out of the battery and it has 3 battery volatage settings bit I am curious about the Kanger IPOW2 battery that supposed to go up to 12 watts of power

The regular Emow kit has the 1300 mah batt with the 3 voltage setting. The 1600 mah which comes with the Emow Mega is actually a true variable voltage from 3.2 to 4.8

But yeah that new Ipow V2 has some really attractive features.

Yeah I think it would cost me extra £25-35 over here to get the Nautilus mini and the MVP2.0 after doing some shopping around. I think thats the way i'll go!

Thanks for this, just checked it out and it looks pretty sweet.
