Hello, I just signed up and I thought I’d say hi ^^ Been vaping for about a year. Still smoke some cigarettes once in a while but planning on dropping this sh** asap.
vaping has helped me (almost) quit smoking in a way I never thought would be possible. Really happy about that.
All in all I discovered a whole new world and a fantastic community.

Keep on vaping !

(I’m french, sorry if I made a few mistakes :) )

Welcome to the zoo forum, pull up a chair and jump right in.

(and don't worry, your english is very natural/idiomatic ... I used to teach english as a second language).

Thanks! I spent about an hour exploring the forum and found a lot of helpful informations :)
And thanks, had to look for the exact definition of « idiomatic » and yes I guess that’s because I learned english mostly through movies (and especially Lord of the Rings which got me into this language in the first place^^)

Hello and welcome to the forum. Don't beat yourself up about still having a few cigs. Harm reduction includes the reduction of the cigs so don't count the ones you smoke count the ones you haven't had. It took me a little over a year to finally switch to vaping only and on Tuesday I celebrated 4 years smoke-free. Believe in yourself, I do. Also, I wouldn't have known English wasn't your first language if you hadn't mentioned. Learning from the movies is excellent. When I was taking Spanish in college we watched a Spanish soap opera. I thought it was humorous that you did it watching the Lord of the Rings, that's just "precious".

@Diver9543 Congrats on your 4 years cigarette free ! You must be proud and I bet you feel much better in your body. Don’t worry I’m not under pressure. Last year I managed not to smoke for 2 months (and I could feel the changes occurring) and then I got into cigs again but I kept on vaping so basically I reduced by 50% my cigarette consumption. This time I really want to quit for good. I know I have to constantly try new liquids not to get « bored ». That’s what I missed last year. It’s been 78 hours since I last smoked and I’m doing ok :) :vapor:

About english I lack vocabulary that’s for sure. I feel like I’m using the same words again and again haha but that’s ok. I need to watch the Lord of the Rings again ^^ Tolkien’s beautiful words and Peter Jackson’s directing skills. It’s just mind blowing to me, even about 20 years later ;)
