A bit about me and my impressions of moving from analogs to digital.
I started smoking a bit later than most people whom generally start. I was 18 at the time and had lived with a smoker (my mother) all of my life. I was indifferent to it as it was everywhere and I had no appeal or feign from it. I started the summer I was off to college and continued to smoke between 1 to 2 packs a day for the past 12 years. Smoking, design, and art in general went hand in hand. I remember many late nights taking a smoke break and have 2 or 3 cigs while waiting for prints/pigment/paint to dry or any of the other random materials I decided to work in that day.
That is up until 3 weeks and 3 days ago. I had heard about E-cigs previously and my mother even got one after smoking from a much earlier age than I until present (I don't remember the type and she didn't stick with it). Some of this information was positive some negative. That is until I decided to dig in and find out a lot about this alternative. Previously I had tried the other cessation aids and had negative results so this was worth a try.
About 5 weeks ago I had stopped at the gas station and saw the ad for the $19 E-cigs they were selling. I had some free time while waiting for approval on designs at work so I did a few searches. Fortunately I came to this site and was able to form a few conclusions. If this felt like real smoke and I could still practice the oral habit I had developed over the years then getting rid of the 4000+ chemicals in analogs would be a boon. I then read through several reviews and watched several videos surrounding the multitude of devices and how to use, service and clean them. The next day (Tuesday) I purchased the device and received it on Saturday from PureSmoker.
I had purchased the prodigy v3.1 and have been very pleased ever since. I have in the past tried the "disposable" E-cigs and they were truly garbage, but I won't get into that. There have been numerous people that have asked all about this device and what it is etc. I usually refer them to this website and tell them to read about it for themselves after giving them a brief explanation. I have also gotten 3 other people to make the switch and they're all pleased as well (not all the same model of E-cig however due to personal tastes).
So Hi All and THANKS for the great information!
