why, hello everybody!

brand spanking new to this forum!. Though I've been vaping couple months shy of a year, started out with V2. Currently still just havve their batteries and carts, though I've mostly been filling my own.

I was a social/stress smoker only, I probarly could go the rest of my life without a analog, even without vaping. How ever I found out about this wonderful world, and started to save my life before it was really lost due to smoking; I'm only 18!.

Just giving a shout out, and a hey!

also looking for cheap, but good, juices, and mods/e-go type stuff (new to all this besides basic "stick" batteries and cartos).

and a bit more about me on a related note, I'm a full time college student. Currently going to a community college, planning to transfer to a 4 year, and than... onto LAW SCHOOL. plan to become a practing lawyer, unsure of what field yet. and am also really consdering going into politics. And am also really tight on money, hence the bargin hunting.

Welcome Nitherian! I went your route, community college, then university. Tuition was a lot cheaper then. :(

If you're not hooked on nicotine yet, which sounds like you're not, I suggest you look into 0 mg juice, see if just the vapor and flavor can satisfy. The nic addiction is nasty. Good luck with your law degree.

An inexpensive 3.7v fat battery model would be the Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com (only they that I know of have the new model kits from the correct manufacturer - their new version that is 3.7v) - press the 20% off upper left front page first, then look at the the prices. Under $30 for a kit of 2 750mah Rivas. Most people use them with blank cartos, mainly the hotter Boge 2.0 ones (they use charge up faster though).

Cheapest mod would be a simple 3.7v box mod but then you have the additional startup cost of a charger and the industrial type batteries (usually 14500 protected or AW IMR type, and make sure you get batteries with the little bump on the end - not flat on both ends . Once you have 5 posts or replies in new members (non-spammed) and wait an hour, you could order stuff in Buying & Selling - Mod vendors section. Look for Silent Soldier and Old Goat and others selling 3.7v mods boxes.
Modder/Accessories Supplier Forum

Riva 510 and most mod boxes would use 510-threaded stuff, not KR808D-1 like V2. however you may find a 901 thread mod box that might be be to use your KR8 cartos without an adapter (same threading but sometime 901 needs an adapter to get the correct airflow to KR8 stuff)

Without the other MAO inhibiting alkaloids to reinforce the chemical dependence on tobacco, it is unlikely that someone would develop an addiction to nicotine alone. However, if you don't need the nicotine to help avoid smoking, you are quite right to recommend sticking with 0-nicotine e-liquids.

Nitherian, if you're looking to save money, I'd recommend learning to DIY your own e-liquid. If you don't need the nicotine, you can make your own custom e-liquid VERY cheap. If you don't think you're ready to start making your own creations, some vendors (like this one: Welcome to Tasty Vapor ) offer 0-nicotine "flavor doublers" as well.

ya, the jurry is still out on the nic addiction. though I'm sticking to 6mg juice, got couple 12mg or higher that I got for cheap/free, though I vape those lighly. Got some 0mg juice on the way.

Though from what I've read nic I safe, and similar to caffine (unless you have a heart condition of something similar. )

and thanks for the equimpent info, who ever posted it, I'll look into it :) though most of my money will go to juice when I get I think.

my only problem with DIY self stuff is... well, my mom never knew about the smoking, or the vaping (still live at home.) and while my GF know about the vaping, she is not happy about it, and never knew about the smoking, I can the batteries, cartos, and juice well engough... but I don't think I could do it with the DIY stuff. Think I need to be coming out of the closet pretty soon, so to speak.

Welcome Nitherian. I agree with the others. DIY is the way to go especially if ejuice gets banned or heavily taxed. I don't know how we'd get the base though. Jez, I hadn't thought about that before. :facepalm:Anyway, all you need is unflavored nic juice in whatever mg you want, PG or VG or both, which you can get locally and flavor extracts. There are other things you can add but this is the basics. Good luck if you can figure out how to hide it from your parents and good luck with your degree.

Lawyer or politician? Eeeeuuw! Not my favorite people. :( Sorry.

Big kudos to you for figuring all of this out at 18! College is the time many people pick up analogs for the reasons you said you previously smoked (stressful and/or social situations). As a former CC prof, I'd love to see the e-cig revolution hit the college-age scene. This country could use some e-cig savvy politicians, so I'm all in favor of you choosing that route one day, if it interests you at all. In any case, go for those dreams of finishing school and getting that law degree! Welcome to ECF!

haha, I understand about the not being your favorite kind of people. of course this is a standard line, but I hope to be a good/slighlty honest one.

I've always wanted to be a lawyer, politcion is someting new though. I feel like I could actually do something worth while with it all, and i seem to like it.

and with the DIY stuff, I could get an intial set up, but that it would be all I could spend for this quarter budget, which I'm not sure I want to do... I've got some thinking to do!

and thanks for all the welcomes :)

Oh crap! I didn't know that and I have a wedding to go to that I can't get out of. I think I'm going to be sick. :(

Thanks for letting me know. Maybe I can think of some excuse.

It's at a Casino, so you can arrive as late as you need. Unless you're going on the honeymoon, I should imagine you'll be done before 2am. ;)
