I just happened upon this forum through a link to a post from Reddit. I smoked analog cigarettes since I was very young, for about 30 years. For the last 20, I've been smoking RYO, unfiltered cigarettes, at a rate of 40-60 per day. I tried many times to quit, but it never worked. Patches don't work, the gum tastes awful, and doctors were of no help at all. The doctors wouldn't do anything to help me quit, even when I was pregnant. All they kept doing was trying to foist prescription drugs, like Wellbutrin and Chantix, on me, knowing full well that the side effects from those medications are far worse than smoking, and would jeopardize the health of my child way worse than smoking ever would.
A friend gave me a Blu starter kit, which didn't really work well for me. Hardly any vapor, and the flavors were weird. I finally got tired of smoking, and all that comes with it, like dirty ashtrays, butts, bits of tobacco in my mouth, etc. I bought a vape setup from MBV with some juice that I thought I might like, and as soon as I got it and charged the battery, I quit smoking.
I haven't had an analog cigarette since 3pm on 6/5. My husband still hasn't quit totally. He's on the fence about getting a vape kit for himself. At first, he tried to force me to agree to stop vaping after a certain period of time, but I told him no, and that I'm going to go at my own pace, whether he likes it or not.
Right now, I'm enjoying the menthol & wintergreen juices I got from MBV with my Kanger t3 and Smoktech Winder. It's awesome. Even more awesome, someone on Reddit offered to share some juice samples to help me get started.
Sorry for such a long post, but I didn't think quitting smoking would be so easy.
