Hi everyone. Just got back into vaping 6 weeks ago. I got frustrated with the old carto systems of a few years ago. In the short time I've been vaping again I am loving it. Started with an iStick and a Kangertech Sub Tank. I now have a Vapor Shark DNA 40 and a few Kangertech Sub Tanks. I love playing with my RBA deck using Nickel wire and temp control. As being new back into vaping any tips or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

to ecf Fergie36. Nice to meet you and so glad that you are here. Just the best place in the world to get reliable information about vaping, fantastic recommendations and help from people that really care. I don't know what I would have done without ecf. So glad you are back to vaping and loving it. I wish you continued success and I look forward reading more from you. Have fun and just make yourself at home. . .

Hey Fergie36, welcome. New here as well - also a recent addition to the eCig world - having smoked for 30 years and just recently managed to get off them... I hear ya on the old cart systems of yester-year - totally useless... but todays technology actually works! Good forum here - been lurking for years and finally decided to become a member.

I do have a question. The first week when I started vaping the juices I vaped tasted great. After the first week tho the flavors are now way muted. I've tried all the tricks that I do know, brushing a few times a day including my tongue, eating pickles, drinking plenty of water and nasal flushing. Any suggestions on this?

This happens to me too (vaper's tongue) and water sometimes helps but not much. I think the only real cure might be time, unfortunately.

I have never experience it but this is a very good explanation of it and something there might help you. I get points for trying.

When I got vaper's tongue, it took probably a good two weeks for it to pass. What I have been doing lately to help stave it off is to constantly switch up tastes. I have 4 tanks filled with different flavors and I alternate between them during the course of the day. Of course it would probably work better if I switched between sweet and savory since they use different taste buds, but all my juices are sweet fruity ones.

One thing I have surmised in what might have kept my vaper's tongue going for so long was I was using menthol juices at the time. With many menthols being so strong and the taste so overwhelming, I think it basically overloaded and burned out my taste buds.
