Hello to the peeps out there! I'm not particularly new to vaping but I have come across some roadblocks after I moved to IN a couple years ago. We have some MAJOR restrictions to vape products. We can't order vape juice, mods, tanks, or coils online if it's out of state. So I feel very sheltered and out of date lol.

Chargers: My 8 bay nitecore died today. I have a 4 bay nitecore. It's meh. My significant other and I vape so I am looking to get a charger/chargers that are better at preserving batteries over time (Sony VTC6). Preferably isn't loud, or prone to overheating but I may be asking for too much.

Vape juice: some of the juices cause my tongue to swell. I get that it may be an allergy but my boyfriend gets it sometimes too. We both have no food allergies. We mostly use juice from Glas which doesn't do this but a lot of the others do. Never had this issue with mixed blends (out of state). Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Welcome. I still have a nitecore 4 bay but some were discussing the Xtar 4-bay (sorry I don't know which model but folks will be along I am sure.)

As far as juice I DIY, but just wanted to say welcome and I hope you find what you are looking for and I'm sure you will. Congrats on switching to vaping :)

I tried to do DIY 4 years ago once....it turned out tasting like Robitussin so I gave up. DIY is legal here now but hardly anyone sells the stuff needed. Maybe, I'll try again one day.

I've nitecore Q2 with 2 bays only. Works great, no overheating, quiet. I've paid an equivalent of 10$ for it? 3h charge time for a pair of 18650's, while I can vape on 2 batteries for a day (brown lg hg2) or two (molicel p26a). I really don't think that charger type, as long as it's relatively good brand, makes that much of a difference. Batteries you have- certainly do. I've multiple cordless tools that I use at work (drill drivers, circular saws, jigsaws, planers, you name it- from Makita) that all run on li-ion 18650 high drain battery cells. Daily. Batteries charged few times a day. I've had original chargers, chinese replacement chargers, clone chargers... quality, original battery packs last for years (I still have 2 battery packs I bought 4 years ago and are going strong), while cheap replacement battery packs die after a year or two, or quicker. I'd suggest to invest in good batteries and don't worry too much about the charger itself. I'm not sure what mods you guys have, but i bought a pair of molicel p26a for my smok majesty luxe+ prince tfv12 tank, I vape at around 50-70 Watts. And these batteries are brilliant. That i can totally recommend.

So to summarise my advice wuld be to invest in an OK charger, and spend more on reliable, quality batteries

We have limited hardware here in IN. We have bounced between the newer tanks here like meshpro, falcon2, and smoktfv16. They tend to fun higher minus falcon2 but I cant stand the taste of the coil coating. So..mostly in the 80-120w range. We use sony vtc6 for less "sag", better battery life considering higher wattage.

Thanks for the post on Nitecore. I think I am just a little scared off from them because of the 8 bay dying. Lights sometimes turned on if unplugged and reinserted but immediately turned off. Sometimes it would flash lights with no power, from the power bank. The cord adapter made a crackling noise. Tried another adapter same thing. Gave up on it b/c it's an electrical fire waiting to happen. The 4 docks ok though *shrugs*

Hey Wrydreams, hello right back at ya. Welcome to ECF. Enjoy! :)

I've had very good luck with Nitecore, Miboxer and Xtar chargers. Currently using a Miboxer C4-12 and an older Nitecore SC4. My way old Nitecore D4 still works too.

I wouldn't let your experience with the 8 bay scare you off from Nitecore chargers. Many of the serious flashlight folks love em. And like any other gear, stuff eventually fails.

There are others here like you guys who live in "restrictive" states. And there are creative ways around that. ;)

I DIY so I can't help with commercial juices. If you are ever interested in going DIY again there are plenty of excellent resources here. Many folks to help too.

Would love to see some of your photography. Great place to share is Shiny After Hours Chat :D

If I try DIY again, I pray it doesn't taste like Robitussin.

Used to forward my mail to family and have it resent but it's a wee better now.

I am very electronic cursed. I am usually lucky to get it broken right outta the box, about 1/3 of my mods. Cameras, lenses, TVs, you name it I probably got a defective one. I must be made of static discharge lol. Does your miboxer slot 3 work? Or slot 2 if new version? Just curious.

Thanks for the help. Maybe you can help me find a good ambrosia juice or DIY.

Haha... I remember my Robitussin days all too well. Yummmmmy, not. :(

Folks here have other folks here send them gear to their restrictive places.

My wife used to be electronically cursed. One look and something would break.

I have the newer updated version of the Miboxer C4-12. Got it last August and all slots work fine (knocking on wood). The updated version was hard to find though.

People here who have the SkyRC MC3000 charger love it. Zillions of options! Someday, maybe.

Not sure what ambrosia you mean. There are several, fruity and bakery {as in Elysian Elixers} ones. Just googled "ambrosia ejuice diy" and there are DIY recipes out there. Some commercial ones too.

There is a highly rated Claire's Ambrosia by VHM at ELR (CCW Devon cream/CAP French vanilla/CAP vanilla custard). I can vouch for the flavors being used, they're really good. Hmmm, I may have to try that recipe. There are 61 ambrosia recipes at ELR.

Hope that helps :)

When I was a hookah girl, I used to get Fumari shisha ambrosia, white gummy bear or blueberry muffin lol. I found a premium blend of ambrosia once in FL but then never again. It's ambrosia fruit, pop rocky, sweet..idk. I'll have to look around lol
