Hi... I used to smoke cigarettes and pipes in college, dipped snuff, then mail ordered Swedish snus for the better part of a decade... and was a non-smoker for a few years. I'm currently in a transition period in my life after suffering some devastating setbacks, looking for old creature comforts but not eager to start smoking cigarettes again. When I'm in a rut, like I have been, nicotine sometimes helps me to change gears, awaken my heart, and keep moving forward. And I miss the collectability of pipes. But I live with a long term partner now that prefers I would be a nonsmoker. She uses nicotine lozenges herself, and sometimes Camel snus. Ecigs are OK with her.
I currently have an eGo style e-cig with a CE4 and an H2 Clearomizer. The H2 is a monster in terms of my smoking habits I think- I was never more than 10-20 cigarette a day smoker (though sometimes I rolled my own). I just think the large clearomizerrs are bizarre, I'm ordering some smaller nano units to try out, as well as maybe experimenting with smaller 180 mah batteries. I want something that feels a bit like a cigarette, though the eGo is cool, it feels more like I should be smoking something else in it (it looks like a hookah). I've actually experimented vaping pure VG (got from an herbal shop I go to) and its just too thick to wick easily, though it doesn't seem to bother my mouth.
I've tried some e-juice from Totally Wicked. I'm guessing its PG based and I seem to have issues with it: 12mg RY3. My mouth and lips get dry very quickly. An allergy to PG? I stay very hydrated but doesn't matter. Totally ruins my lips, even though I use lip-balm a lot. I have gluten and casein intolerance, in case anybody is wondering... maybe it is related?
I also have a Blu kit I bought from a local gas station. I don't drive so I depend on mail-order and what's available locally. The Blu's performance is very nice, it puts out just the right amount of vapor, though the nicotine is a bit strong (12mg might be more my style), for my smoking habits. I like the juice in it quite a bit, the flavor is muted in the glycerin slightly but the vapor is nice and best of all, my mouth never gets dry vaping this stuff. And yet, I've experimented with pure glycerin and that stuff seems to be viscous and not the best to vape. So... what is in Blu e-cig vapor- any water? And what other brands use diluted VG, being as it seems I am potentially allergic to PG? Any suggestions for websites where to purchased thinner VG based e-liquids? Also, equipment and other advice would be welcome, just keeping in mind that I'm lower-income due to disability.
Thanks.
