I started out with Greensmoke--on a friend's recommendation. She is an exsmoker--who uses Greensmoke now and then to keep from smoking analogs. I did a little research, was instantly overwhelmed with stuff I didn't understand. So I went with the only real life recommendation I had and bought Greensmoke. Although I spent way too much money there it served its purpose of getting me started with vaping.

With a little vaping knowledge under my belt--I HAD to find cheaper batteries--and thus ended up finding some good advice here. Bought a couple more batteries (at about 1/3 the Greensmoke price). Yet still got extremely tired of charging batteries--plus after not smoking analogs for a month--ended up at work with dead batteries and bummed cigs. Since then I have been doing both-but a lot less analogs then I originally was(pack and half). Then flavors changed at Greensmoke--so started in with some real research.

Bought some eliquid from Ms Ts Bakery from recommendations here--and started refilling cartos. Fell absolutely in love with a couple of the flavors!!

Then I hit on Misstress Nomad's videos and The Buss's posts and everything started REALLY coming together for me!! I knew what I wanted--an EGO for the battery life--and blank cartos to refill my own--both of which I got-and I am intrigued about making my own juices and drip tips--and sooo many things in my future!!

OH--OH--and today I did the Tayrn Spin and Reverse Spin---as of last week I had never even heard the term---when I first read the term in a post it said Tayrn Spinner-and Tayrn was misspelled. So I spent a couple of days searching all the ecig stores for this "spinner" for ecigs that I could buy---I work in a lab and we spin blood down in centrifuges--sometimes referred to as "spinners"-so it made sense to me!!--I happened upon Leafords Utubes where he demoed the Tayrn spin--wow did I feel stupid!--

Anyway--this has gotten way too long--thank you sooo much for such an informative board!!!

Hi and welcome to ECF. Don't feel bad about buying your Greensmoke. Many of us spent way too much on our first PV. It seems like the only companies that advertise heavily sell junk PV's at absurdly high markup. But it got you here so now you're on the right track. The eGo is a good PV. I've got the Mega which has the larger battery and it'll last almost all day on a charge. I usually have to switch out batteries after around 14 hours of vaping. The standard eGo will probably give you around 10 hours if you vape the same amount. Let us know how it goes, we all like to hear success stories.

Great Congrads Betty. You will have a LOT of flavors to try now at a MUCH cheaper price... Sounds like you got everything you need now with some good juice.

Me on the other hand made the mistake of ordering Dekang... Not a fan....

Will be ordering several flavors from Backwoods Brew tomorrow...

The reverse taryn spin is only useful when you want to remove liquid from cartomizers (for example, when the liquid is bad-tasting or you want to change the mixture proportions). I use an old knee sock, rubberband the cartos, put the cartos mouth end down into the sock, and then spin the sock like a windmill about 100 times. That could be too many times, but it gets the most liquid out of the cartos (and is good exercise for the arm).

The taryn spin to fill cartomizers takes much longer than simply dripping 10 to 15 drops into the filter inside the cartomizer (when refilling) or 20 drops or so when filling blank cartomizers. Dripping directly into the filter is the quickest and easiest way to fill cartomizers. Why use a middleman (a condom), when you can save time and messes and not overfill cartos? Most people who have been vaping for a while use the direct drip method to fill cartos.

The taryn spin also saturates the filter way too much, so drawing (puffing) on the cartomizer will be much harder, resulting in less vapor and will be unsatisfactory, due to the cartomizer being overfilled with liquid (and the filter is unable to breathe).

Welcome to ECF! I bought GreenSmokes, too, and really ended up hating them. Too expensive, too crappy. Luckily, I stumbled on this forum in time to get myself set up right and get a refund from GreenSmoke! I'll have to look up the Tayrn spin again. I just got some eGo Mega cartomizers and honestly, I really like them!

I am sure loving the Joye Ego--

now to just find the flavors and strenghts I like--loving searching for flavors--think I will try Backwoods Brew next--love all vanillas---fav so far Ms Ts French Vanilla Cappuccino but is in testing area so have to wait to buy more---need a standby tobacco flv--really liked what came with my Ego says MLB on pack (from Litecigusa) so may get more of that--still looking for a real good chocolate flavor--and coffee--hmmm--more shopping!!

was doing the Reverse Tayrn spin to remove what was supposed to be a cappuccino flavor but to me tasted like roses-- from one of the five mega cartos I have--I love to smell roses but don't really want to smoke them--otherwise have been dripping--

Thank you so much for the suggestions--am at Vaporbomb now--what vg/pg mix do you prefer--I am trying to stay away from straight pg--gives me some mouth soreness--and do you add sweetner and cream---I use both in my real coffee--the Hypnotic Mist sounds fascinating--

If you only have mega cartos I would consider getting some standard 510 BOGE as well perhaps. From what I have read on here thus far, the reviews have been less than stellar. At least if you are referring to the EGO Mega ones...

Not sure if that is what you have or not... I won't be getting those as you have to fill with a needle... Me = too lazy to mess with all that...

I have the mega and some regular. You don't have to use needle. Just make initial ..... with a straight pin. Just take out mouth piece and that next plastic thingy and drip through mouth part--I watched a utube on that--much less messy--i am going to order some boge though!

Ok, I believe there are two called Mega, confusing, at best, lol. The EGO mega you have to fill with a needle I am almost certain...the 510 Mega you do not...
