I'm new to this and just wanted to say hi.

about me: RI native, smoker for about 18 yrs, musician, chef, recording engineer.

I just got my first shipment yesterday, a 510 kit with pcc and some generic (dekang?) ry4 and I'm not too thrilled with the flavor :( .

I hope this finally gets me off the cigs as my aunt was just diagnosed with breast cancer... and all of my grandparents, save one, have died of cancer related to tobacco smoke.

BTW, this is a great site with some amazing people. I've been in the pif threads and I think thats just wonderful!

Best regards,

Awesome 0 2000

awesome....u might want to go ahead and grab yourself a couple tobacco flavors anyway (strongly recommend BAckwoods Brew for that). U will be amazed at how much your taste preferences will change within the next few weeks. Once your tastebuds start working again you'll love it. When I first started I was really digging the fruit flavors and the desert flavors. You might be right, tobacco flavors might not be for you. For me though, I've found that when I'm having a serious jones for an analog (yes I still get those fits once in a while) the tobacco flavors really kill the urge for me.

Welcome to the ECF congrats on dropping the analogs. Keep us posted on your progress.

congrats on making the change. When I started almost a year ago, I found that tobacco flavored juice really helped make the switch, was using dun hill from juicy vapor for a while. But after a month or so, started trying out a bunch of different flavors, and realized "Hey, it dosn't have to taste like an analog." Now, I don't even think about tobacco flavors, there's too much other great tasting stuff out there.

Hope it works out for you, from one musician to another.

btw, if you play live at all, I definately suggest getting a few automatic batteries just for that purpose. I was always used to playing with a cig in my mouth, and you just can't do that with a manual bat.

its been a long time since i've been able to play with a smoke in my mouth!!! Those were the days! some of my cymbals still have cig marks from using them as an impromptu ashtrey

Phorbin- I am also a "head" see you in Worcester?

lol, that reminds me of a drummer I used to play with, his snare head would be black by the end of the night from all the ashes. Hopefully not for long though, he's in the process of making the switch now.

Awesome,

Some ejuice has to be aged to really achieve it's desired taste so if you find a taste that you don't like you may want to consider putting it to the side and coming back to it a couple of weeks later. Per above suggestions, get yourself a bunch of different samples (3-5ml) bottles of different flavors from a couple of vendors. Eventually you will find something that suits you better.

oh man... i was too young and stupid (16 in 1995) to appreciate what was happening back then... my first show was in prov 97 and havent stopped since. I think they are playing alot closer to the pre-funk era 1997 so I think you will be happy what you hear. If you need any of the sbd from 10 or 09 I have you covered.

I just got my cartomizers in the mail and I'm not getting the amount of vapor i was getting with the atty-cart. Is this normal. The learning curve on these things are quite steep.
