Great review as always Scott

as far as consistancy and accuracy with voltage....does it compare with the provari? Which device would last longer in terms of battery run time....the precious or provari?

hi mate,

this vid i made the other day shows the accuracy of voltage between the Precious and the Provari:-

cheers

Another great review (and follow-up), Scott! I wasn't even aware of the extended length of the review until I glanced at a clock after it was over.

I noticed (and appreciated) that, this time, you did comment on cost and value. Appropriate, I believe. For example, the Infinity has similar build quality defects ... but it's only 80 bucks. At that price, you can't expect the perfection of the Precise. Of course, the Precious has an unprecedented set of features, which earn that $200+ price tag.

I for one am impressed by that juice feeder: elegant simplicity. The GG feeder seems unnecessarily complex. The turn off to me is the voltage adjustment: that seems complex ... and, unlike the ProVari, not enough feedback to guide one along the way of all those different types of touches. I still might like it. In my case, I'd probably set it at about 4.4V and occasionally tweak it up or down one or two tenths of a volt.

Do you know if the Precious LV2 can be used with an adapter with other atomizers, e.g., my beloved 801?

HaHa...thanks Scott....one step ahead....I just got my Provari and I like it alot. Now if the Provari had a juice feed system like the Precious.....it would be the ultimate mod.

Scott, I watch all your videos and enjoy them all. Thanks for doing them.

So with a load, if you set the Precious Lv2 to say 2 volts using the built in indicators, does it in fact read 2 volts? The reason I ask is I too am confused by it sometimes. It seems to me with 2x18350 in it, I can set it to 3 volts and it is still working at 4v or close to it. Other words, I can never get it below 3v with 2x18350s in it. Were you able to get say a 1v reading that matched the red indicator with two 18350s in it? I have not really used an 18650 in it much, though I could, and made the assumption that it would only go that low with a 4.2v batt in it...

hi mate,

these are the readings i get when the Precious is under load (with an atomiser attached) :-

Precious set to 6v - actual reading 5.23v

Precious set to 5v - actual reading 4.55v

Precious set to 4v - actual reading 3.68v

Precious set to 3v - actual reading 2.7v

Precious set to 2v - actual reading 1.8v

Precious set to 1v - actual reading 0.97v

remember, to take a true voltage reading on the Precious then you need it to be done under load. if you take voltage readings without the atomiser attached then you will get inaccurate readings like these:-

Precious set to 6v - actual reading 7.4v

Precious set to 5v - actual reading 6.86v

Precious set to 4v - actual reading 6.23v

Precious set to 3v - actual reading 5.49v

Precious set to 2v - actual reading 4.7v

Precious set to 1v - actual reading 3.88v

see the vid i posted at post #21 in this thread ;)

cheers

scott
