Hey guys! I'm a newbie to the whole vaping scene since i started about 2 weeks ago. I bought a k100 with the chinese nimbus from a friend and this is the longest ive lasted without a cigarette for about a good 6 years. Every question i have about vaping was googled and answered through this website, so i thought i'd join the community. I look forward to sharing my vaping experiences with you all.

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on quitting smoking! That nimbus is quite the cloud maker, right? Nice vapor and flavor. A significant learning curve with the RDA's over the basic clearos, though. Not often recommended for the new vaper, but I'm sure your friend helped, and, as you say, google and ECF answered your questions. Just watch the coil resistance and you should be fine. That k100 is a surprisingly good mechanical too, at a fabulous price point. Lucky you. Look forward to reading your posts about your experiences. Good luck, Power up and Vape On!

Thanks steam.

I honestly have no idea how to measure the resistance.

Right now i'm using a 18650 ultrafire battery with a dual coil build using 2mm wicks folded 3 times with 30g kanthal a1 wire at a 3-4 wrap.

i need to fire it up once for 2-3 secs to get it heated first, then i start blowing clouds.

Rule one two and three. Checking the resistance is not optional, having battery knowledge is not optional and cloud chasing is a dangerous game if you dont know exactly what you are doing.

I would guestimate your coils to be 1.2ish ohms each, meaning that the total of the 2 equals to 0.6ish ohms... Playing with sub ohm coils with the kind of battery that you are using is playing with fire... Even if protected these battery will go flamethrower on you if the protection fails. dont aim for sub ohm coils until you know exactly what you are doing.

I strongly advise that you get rid of this battery and get a AW IMR 18650... Yes more expensive... yes less mah... but suited for RBA and mechs.

Here is a good place to start learning about RBA's
