Hi Fizzel - welcome to ECF and vaping!
the kGo is a terrific option to start with - 3.7v vaping, so you can use LR or SR atomizers, cartomizers or clearos, as well as dual coils. There are lots of options available to you when you use the kGo.

I'm guessing from your location that you're in Canada, so I'm not sure where the best place to order your kit will be. I'm sure a fellow Canadian will chime in with that information for you soon! If you'd like to order from the States, Welcome to hoosier ecig supply - The Best E-cigs, Juices, and accesories is a terrific choice, and the company I bought my kGo from several months ago :)

Happy vaping!

If you buy a starter kit, it should come with two batteries, which is a good thing. That way while you're charging one you can use the other. When you order juice, I would suggest you order the smallest bottles they have, and several flavors of them, until you find out what juices you like. Since most starter kits come with attys and cartridges, I'd also suggest getting some cartomizers, in case you don't like dripping. Welcome to ECF and Happy Vaping!

Both atomizers (atties) and cartomizers (cartos) with 510 threading will work with a kGo kit. Dripping is done on atties, and while it produces nice flavor and vapor, there is a pretty big learning curve, it can be messy, and it isn't always convenient (nor is it safe to do while driving)

Cartomizers on the other hand are easily filled using a syringe, and vary in size, so some will hold just under a mil, while others will hold up to 5ml or so! There is a learning curve with those as well - you'll over fill or underfill in the beginning, so it's best to have extras on hand.

Another option would be a stardust/vision clearomizer - those are super easy to use and fill - just unscrew the top and fill with your juice, screw the top back on & vape!

There are a ton of options - does your friend still vape? Either way, ask him some questions - he should be able to point you in the right direction as well as show you in person how to fill and use whatever you choose to use :)

YouTube is another great source of information - you'll find tons of videos to show you how to fill and use whatever you choose, and of course, this forum rocks :)

Welcome to ECF!

I can only recommend the product that I have experience with.

The Volt from Smokeless Image.

From 65 and 78 mm slim batts to the larger X2 fat batt/passthrough series, with cartos or clearos, it's all simple to use and topflight quality.

Love my Volts!

Best of luck in finding what you love best!

Welcome Fizzel. I believe somewhere here is a list of Canadian suppliers. One piece of advice: if you go with the minis (Volts, V2, etc.) get at least 3 batteries. The battery life sucks - 2-3 hours if you are a heavy vaper. My V2 kit came with 2; I ordered another one. I'm glad I did. One of them died yesterday, and I'm down to 2 until the replacement comes in (one good thing I can say about V2; they're really good about replacing things). This means I'm vaping one while the other is charging.

Welcome Fizzie. I agree with the bigger eGo sized batteries, and a bunch of different sample of juice on till you find what you like.

I highly recommend the stardust because it is so easy to use. I'd get an attie for dripping & drip tip, that's the easiest way to taste new flavors without having to fill anything right up & find out you hate the taste. Pick up a few different tanks, & cartos too, this way you'll have a few different thing to try out, a spare battery is a good idea too.

I use canvape for all my hardware, best prices I've found in Canada and great customer service to boot.

If you shoot them an email to ask some of their recommendations for someone new, they'll answer you pretty fast.

I'm sure others will chime in soon too, with other great Canadian vendors.

Once you have 5 posts in & the sight is refreshed you can head over to the Canadian forum for some recommendations too. You'll get tons of great help there.

When I decided to make the move to vaping, I did a lot of research. Then I wrote to Scott at E-cig-reviews.com and he recommended the Ego-C. I ordered the kit, lots of replacement atomizers and tanks and some low nicotine juice. I haven't had a real cigarette since. I have bought other mods and tanks/rebuildable atomizers since then but I still use my Ego-C at times. I am happy with my decision. Go for it.

Thanks for all the replies everybody! I wound up ordering the kGo and the package arrived yesterday but I got the eGo instead. I got an email from the store saying they would send me a free battery and free juice because of the mistake. The problem is that I also ordered some Vision Clearomizers because of how easy they are to use. Does anybody know if they are compatible with the eGo as well? The guy I spoke to said that the eGo and kGo are identical except the battery but they dont seem to fit properly and he didnt know much about accessories. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi CheekyMonkey! The threading works fine, it does connect ok, but there is an outer covering on this eGo that covers the atomizer and threads into the battery casing. When I attach the clearomizer end the outer covering doesnt fit anymore and the threading for it is visibe. I guess it is more an aesthetic issue. I was just worried it would cause problems down the line.

UPDATE: It turns out it is just the type of clearomizer I ordered. I have seen others that seem to fit perfectly. Thanks for all the help!
