Making the Jump from Cig Alike Batteries

Hi everybody,

So in the New Year I am ready to make the jump to a bigger and better battery. Basically I am looking to move to something that will last at least half a day without issues (i'll get two batteries therefore). I have heard great things about the Ego Twist, which is variable voltage to my understanding. Is that the best model of this type or is there anywhere else I should be focusing on.

Also I need to kit out this battery with either Clearomizers or Cartomizers right? Are clearomizers fragile? Can I carry them around all day and they won't spill or break?

Where do you recommend kitting out something like an Ego Twist (or whatever you recommend). Is the smokeless image Volt X2 battery something I might be interested in (it does not seem like variable voltage but after taking this forum's recommendations I have had good experiences with smokeless image's volt batteries).

I have the volt X2 and its great with clearomizers, but i would go with the ego twist with clearomizers. Apart from that check out the Bombshell Stinger lol

+1 for what KraKsX reccomended. I would also reccomend a mini-vivi nova tank as well. Get some juice to go with it and you'll have a great setup.

Ego Twist is good plus you don't have to buy the kit. The USB charger can be bought for 3.99. I recently bought my daughter this setup for Christmas for under 40 dollars 1100 mah ego twist red, red viva vision nova slim and charger

Yea, some people are tank people, so you should give that a go to see if you like that too.

Wow guys thanks for all the help. As always, appreciate how great this community is. Is a tank just a large cartomizer then? What is the significant difference between a tank and a clearomizer? Otherwise I think in particular I'll give KraksX recommendations a try.

Whats most commonly referred to as a tank is a carto tank. You either punch holes in them yourself or buy them pre-punched (I recommend these for anyone getting into tanks for consistency and ease of use) you then insert the punched carto into a tank and fill with liquid.This has the added benefit of keeping the carto always wet so no dry hits and it extends the life of the carto. I find these to be superior in flavor to clearomizers but your results may vary.

A ViVi Nova is a clearo tank, meaning it wicks like a clearomizer but has the larger capacity of a tank style system.

Definitely try KraKsX's recommendation on the ego-V. It has several advantages over the Twist. Not the least of which is that you can actually read the voltage as you change it and it has a passthrough so you don't need to resort to a backup while it charges. It also has a wider voltage range than the Twist (3-6V, vs. 3-4.8V).

The eGo-V, and a Vivi Nova mini (with the ego collar) is an unbeatable combination for a fuss free, versatile and inexpensive rig.

You can find some really good tanks at valley view vapes, IBTanked.com or Phiniac.com. I always recommend Pyrex as its non-reactive, wont add a taste to your juice and also no worries about certain juices cracking or discoloring like with plastic, polypropylene and pmma tubes.

It is always nice to have a backup just incase, but is it worth the money to get two of those? your choice, i like a cheap simple ego mini as backup (night vaping) small easy simple... as a 'Just in case' (its always good to have at least 2 batteries)

Get an Ego for the simple reason that you have more choices in parts. You will find it much easier to find clearos, cartos, attys etc. The smokeless image volt is 808 which limits your options some. You would need an adapter for it. I second the recommendation of a ego twist with a Kanger T3, or a vivi Nova.
