I'm a newb :D

My name is Amanda. Very very new to the e-cig world.

I recently bought a 510-T and have not been having the best of times with it.

I bought the starter kit and liked it quite a bit. I also bought 2 different flavours to go with my kit. I chose fruity ones because I wanted to avoid the smell of tobacco being on my clothing.

So I bought a raspberry and a blueberry. The blueberry is rather awesome but the raspberry leaves a lot to be desired. In fact, no matter how I try to use it, I always get this... burnt marshmallow taste to it. It's rather unnerving and I decided to just stick to my blueberry for now.

Is this marshmallow thing normal? I thought maybe I had to "break in" my kit, so I just kept going, but it didn't change. And now the atty that I used for the raspberry has a hard time setting off the battery. The battery itself has a hard time going off, too, but way more so with the atty that's crappy.

Also, I seem to not be able to take drags longer than 3 seconds without getting a horrible burnt taste. Past 3 seconds and I can't even inhale, the burn is so bad. Is there something I'm doing wrong, here? I've followed the Beginner's Use Guide from the info pages, but the burn is too awful. So I'm still stuck on the action of smoking, but not getting any nicotine, I guess.

I also seem to really dislike the 3 piece set-up. The kit I originally intended to get was a 2 piece, but my supplier had run out and given me the 3 piece for the same price. Is the 510-T kits compatible with any cartos? Or do I still need to get attys and carts separate for my model?

I know... so many questions. But as I said... I'm a total newb and any help and feedback would be AWESOME at this point.

Hi Amanda, I Find the tobaco flavors dont leave me smelln like tobaco. So you could try the different flavors of tobaco if you wanted to. It sucks havein that burt taste, makes its less enjoyable. I have a two piece desighn and if i burn a cartomizer it reiks and i cant get the burt out then i throw it away. I also got a eight second cutoff i think. I think If you take a quick two second drag stop then drag it again and maybee even repeat again all in the same breath it might work for your model. Lot of trial and error with these things before you figure it out. GOOD LUCK.

Thanks :) I'll try the two second interval drag... I tried it once and it seemed like my battery cut off. But could be that it was near the end of its charge because a few minutes later, it did indeed crap out. I was hoping to go with cartomizers, or possibly clearomizers if they're compatible as I like the idea of the clearomizer and the 2 piece design. Seems easier/more genuine to the experience for me.

Awesome about the cartos :D I definitely did the blow out thing as my supplier was showing me what to do and that was one of the first things. It was all fine and dandy for the first 20 minutes or so with the raspberry, but after that, the taste of burnt marshmallow never went away. I'm thinking I'll just get a new flavour and some cartos. Cuz I wasn't a fan of the taste from the get-go. Normally I like raspberry but that was... off, to me, lol.

I have a friend who had many of the same problems as you are having. His was not an ego-T but a Joye mini tank set up. I gave him a cartomizer and he is happy as a clam. For less than ten bucks it is worth a try. Boge 2.0 are my choice with filler. I also like the got vapes fluxomizers though they require a little fiddling to work, but when you get them there they are awesome.

Hi, Amanda! Welcome to the forum!
Sorry you have had such a bad experience.
I have the regular 510 (not the "T" tank, just battery, atomizer and cartridge) and I got the nasty burnt taste at first (after blowing out the primer).
Your atomizer bridge might be too dry and not wicking the juice properly just yet.
I don't know if this applies to the tank model, but I just dripped 2-3 drops straight onto the atomizer bridge, replaced my cart and the burnt taste went away. Hope this helps.
