Just got my eGo and LOVE it !!!

I wasnt going to post cause I felt bad but here it goes, Saturday was my daughters B-Day party and a friend came over and had cigarettes and I cheated I have not cheated since then but I still cheated... So now instead of 6 days free im only 2 days smoke free. Been realy bummed out. I let myself down.

Oh, no, no, no......don't beat yourself up! I had a few (6-7) during the first few weeks....it's totally acceptable. This is YOUR battle with cigs....be easy on yourself. Focus on the cigs you DIDN'T smoke. Even people with banners will tell you some of them have "slipped" a few times. It's no big deal...really. Like I said, think of how many you didn't smoke in that time. Also, I'm betting that one you had tasted pretty bad....yes? I had a few early on just because I couldn't believe I could really walk away from them, ya know? Everyone will tell you to be easy on yourself....you should be very proud of putting them down. One or two early on is normal...very normal. Some people who have been vaping for months still have a cig with morning coffee, and maybe one after a meal. It took you a long time to get to the level of smoker you were.....why wouldn't it take a little while to get off them? We've all slipped....it's NOT a big deal. I really didn't even count my first month.....never said I haven't had a cig in bla, bla days because I did have a few. NOW I can say I haven't had one in over a month (been vaping over 2 months)....it'll get there. Even today if I had a really strong urge that I couldn't "vape through".....I'd allow myself to have one. I keep a partial pack in the cupboard for that very reason. Actually, it's just the last few cigs from my old pack...it's two+ months old now and they really, REALLY taste stale and nasty. Ha. That's good, too. What I know is everytime I let myself have one, yuk! It just reminds me of how far I've come. Get your friend (who you "cheated" with) on e-cigs....problem solved. lol.

Getting ready to goto Bed But I wanted to post a quick update. Forbid my friend from coming over last 3 days LOL but it has worked. I havnt smoked since the party. So im on day 3 again as of now. I think if i just avoid smokers for a few more days I should be fine. I also wanted to THANK YOU ALL especialy JCNEWBIE for helping me feel better about my mishap.

Think Im going to order a passthru as well for at home since I play alot of PC games. been reading alot of the posts and getting some great ideas.

I don't think you'll regret getting a passthru. I keep two of them plugged in all the time so I can switch back and forth between flavors and it sure saves on battery use.

Good luck on getting away from cigarettes. We're all cheering for you!

"mixing in an analog" (not cheating) every so often just keeps ya on track. Makes you realize how disgusting they really are and re confirms your desire to be a vaporer (not sure how you make vapor a possesive noun). Anyway, don't get down on yourself, is all I'm saying. Whenever I mix in a smoke, I'm very disappointed. not in myself, but in how awful it tastes. I could have sworn I liked those things

I don't know about the phases and having to stay focused ... for me it was being comfortable that the device was going to work ... batteries, attys, enough liquid and so on ... AND, this combined with e-cigs not being convenient like stinkies (you won't find them at every corner store). So, it was a comfort thing. All good now with the eGo, direct dripping, and simplicity.

FYI: I order from a few places, but e-Smokey Treats has become one of my favorite places, in part because Phil and Tara are just good people, great customer service, yummy liquids. It also happens that "SAVE10" will save you 10% at check out and NO, that is not a code that gets me a kickback, it is just Phil's code that works. I have nothing to gain from pointing you towards e-Smokey, just like it and trust them completely.

This was the same for me. I quit analogs the day I got my kit but it was a cheap mall deal and I was quite concerned and had little confidence in it. I was a 30 year, 2 pack a day, Marlboro Light smoker.

I checked the forum, did my research and ordered a 510 kit and an 808 kit. Tried some different juices, carts and cartomizer flavors and ordered what worked for me. And life was good...........enough batteries and juice and a couple of kits that were working for me. It has been almost a month now and a bunch of my coworkers have also ordered kits.
On Monday I received a Riva from Vapor Junction to give a try,(I love it), and I ordered about 120ml of juice.
I figured out that I break even financially in 2 more weeks for everything and I feel great. My costs will go down substantially after that but most importantly I am not smoking cigarettes. After trying hypnotism, accupuncture, accupressure, biofeedback, lazer treatments, zyban, patches, gum, lozenges and chantix................this is the only thing that has worked for me.
I am very grateful for this wonderful forum as a resource.

chin up!!! it's all personal. i quit the day i got my kit. a good friend of mine continued to use both until recently. i think that it depends on what kit you have and what your daily routine is like. order other flavors too. even stuff you have no idea about (ie. 555-which is kinda nutty or RY4-which is tobacco/vanilla/caramel). if you always have your kit charged and ready, just vape while others smoke. i was just out recently, and i stood outside and vaped while my friends smoked.... i must confess, i don't miss that awful smell...
remember, an e-cig is like a tattoo... you probably won't get just one!!!

Your sister is not yanking your chain, I was such the skeptic when I started with my first e-cig (one month ago) it was a Magma and it stopped me smoking analogs (regular Virginia Slim Menthol) instantly. I was a pack a day smoker. My youngest son (15), really encouraged me to try them and he did all of the research (bless his heart). I just got the Ego also and I wish I had gotten it first, because I truly love my Ego. I wish you the best of luck, but I know this will do the trick!!

From my first vape till i quit analogs was just over a month. So your doing pretty good. Just takes a bit of time. Tomorrow will be my fourth week with out a analog. Thinking maybe i should throw a party( non smokers only). Fogging allowed though.

Trust me it actually gets easier with every passing day. I put a shirt on this morning which had a smoke in the top pocket. I looked at it -crumbled it up and through it in the trash. Those types of moments will happen. Just give it time (and don't give up).

Thank you all so so so much, You have all made me feel so much better. Im even smiling while typing this. So far I have NOT yet slipped again. Staying away from anyone that smokes for at least a few more days or weeks if needed. As of today Im on DAY 4 !!! My sister did come by today with her eGo and about a dozen flavors for me to experiment with. But when she went home she took them with her I still got 5 bottles but deff going to order some more flavors. Again TY all so much for the replies. I log on each night and read more and more and I deff know now I made the right choice with Vaping.
