Hi - First Post - First Vape - EVOD issue and ?

Hi everyone. Stopping cigs today.

So, my stuff came in the mail. I took forum advice and started with a 2 Evo twist and 2 Evod kit. I loaded up an Evod with menthol sensation, set the twist to 4 and bam, just like I wanted, massive vapor and a wicked (boston) hit. Nice. Easy.

Then I wanted to try my other selection, RY4, but the evod wouldn't screw onto the battery. There is a problem with one of the EVOD tanks, the base that the head screws into (and that screws onto the battery) does not screw all the way onto the battery and will not vapor. The head cannot reach the battery contact.

Upon inspection, the base ring appears to be less threaded than the one that functions fine. Looks like the manufacturer did not thread it deep enough. Appears to have around 2 less threads than the functional unit, much more space between the last thread and the air holes.

My questions: can I get just the base anywhere? I know I can get the heads for $1.50 but they don't come with bases. I'd rather not buy a whole Evod. Should I ask the seller to send along a free base? Would that make me a weenie? I don't want the hassle of shipping back the whole Evod and having to clean it out?

Thoughts?

Should I just suck it up and get a few more Evods and heads for backups and juice variety?

Oh, my third juice to test is High Caliber Coffee Expresso. I can smell it through the sealed bottle. wow.

Right now I'm stuck with menthol and I want to try my samples!

Actually the fix is simple.

Look at the center contact on the evod. Use a tiny screwdriver or paper clip to catch the hole and gently pull to SLIGHTLY lower the pin.

Now ...............go ....Vape

ETA - More Evods? The more the merrier. I have Dozens of Kanger tanks

A few spare heads is always a good idea.

Welcome and congrats on taking the step to the other side. I don't have any help on the EVOD issue, never used them. There's lots of peeps that do so advice is coming. Good luck!!

Actually the fix is simple.

no kidding, 2 minutes later testing RY4, it's good.

some vendors to sell just the base as well. just picked up a couple myself.
