Hi, I am a new member based in USA. I am really interested in heat not burn products, as I love the taste of tobacco. I've tried to sample heat not by burn products I've been able to get here (or via mail from friends). Thanks!
Welcome and glad you joined. Might want to read about another alternative.

I thought I loved the taste of tobacco too. Starting vaping I insisted on tobacco flavoring. I can still remember the store clerk rolling his eyes when I said that. These days my DIY has a very low flavoring percent and it's not tobacco. When I stand with smokers at work these days I have to move around to avoid the smell like non smokers do.

Another thing I like about vaping compared to buying tobacco is the cost. My DIY is 1.2 cents per ml, $30 a year. That isn't cheap, it's free.

I'm always amazed at the number of people who want tobacco flavor. Has anyone really desired tobacco flavored ice cream or candy? When they had their first cigarette did they say "My God, that's delicious"? Let's face it, tobacco is not a great flavor. It may be a good ingredient in a recipe, like onions in pot roast, but there are so many better flavors out there.

Maybe, in your opinion.
Tobaccos is all my wife vapes, basically all I vape too, I may use 20ml per month of a green apple watermelon.
Our daughter only vapes tobaccos too.

All of us have tried huge amounts of various non tobacco flavors.

Let's face it, not everyone has the same flavor preferences.
I'm always amazed at the number of people that think the flavors they like or they way they vape is somehow 'better' than another persons.

Of course every has different tastes. However, many people get hung up on replacing their cigs with a tobacco flavor without realizing it may not be their best choice. I've never seen tobacco flavored ANYTHING outside of vaping, so as a flavor there isn't really much of a demand. If cigarettes were made of something else, like spinach or brocolli, I doubt there would be much of a demand for tobacco flavor in the vaping world either.

Hi, I'm a newbie here too - just looking for more info on IQOS device which could fit for me. I've been smoking for 14 years and I don't want to get rid of tobacco, has anyone switched to heat not burn product, what's the outcome? thanks

As the iQOS isn't marketed widely in the US, there's not much I can say about it. You'll find that using the iQOS is just as expensive (if not more expensive) than using regular cigarettes. If you read the thread I linked further up this thread, you'll find a discussion on the vaping of loose leaf tobacco.

Having smoked for way too long tobacco was the last thing I wanted to taste in my vape, but hey to each his own. (and I'm sure not going to add it to my pot roast :nah:)

I call it 'suspicious' when a tobacco company invents a product which is so astronomically bad value and then calls it a re-invention alternative to smoking cigarettes. I mean... what have the last 10 years been all about? It's taken us this long to escape greedy companies selling closed system cartomizer e-cigarettes and enjoy the great world of vaping products and choice.
It's bad enough that Pod systems exists and products like Juul manage to get a hold of the market, but big tobacco - YEH!! Sure, in their dreams.

I wonder... we really do it to ourselves - so much of the population of the world are just patsies for the great capitalist dream (which crumbles all around us right now...).

No to tobacco. No to pharma.
For once, the little guy is winning.
(sort of) :D:D
